🚌 We’re on an exhilarating journey, celebrating a monumental milestone: the latest major iteration of our groundbreaking robotic surgery platform. To mark this achievement, we rented a party tram and toured the beautiful city of Freiburg—a well-deserved pause after months of relentless dedication. 🎉 This celebration wasn’t just about looking back; it was about charging forward, energized and ready to tackle the next chapter of innovation. Our team is unstoppable, driven by passion, purpose, and an unshakable belief in what we’re building together. The future is ours to create!

Another inspiring Innovation Week at B. Braun New Ventures 💡 After successfully wrapping up the latest product iteration, filled with exciting milestones, our talented developers embraced a full week dedicated to creativity and exploration. This was their chance to prototype bold ideas and shape the future of our product roadmap. We had the privilege of working alongside a neurosurgeon from Universitätsklinikum Freiburg and experts from Aesculap, whose insights added depth and perspective to our efforts. Our cutting-edge robotic surgery platform continues to serve as a launchpad for groundbreaking innovations, inspiring us to go further, faster. The week culminated in a heartwarming team event at Freiburg’s enchanting Christmas Market - a perfect setting to celebrate our achievements, bond as a team, and reflect on the exciting journey ahead. Moments like these remind us of the power of collaboration and the shared passion driving everything we do.

Expanding Our Horizons for Innovation. 🚀 B. Braun New Ventures is thrilled to announce the addition of approximately 500m² to our existing office space. This expansion will create more workspace, additional meeting areas, and a cutting-edge Customer Experience OR for Robotic Surgery. The new facilities will complement our current modern office space, social areas, meeting rooms, testing lab, and Innovation OR. This expansion allows us to consolidate teams that were previously spread out, bringing together our Robotics Team, our Digital Foundation Team, and our Admin Team, all on one floor. We are incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful workspace in the perfect location in the city of Freiburg. This expansion underscores B. Braun’s unwavering commitment to revolutionizing medical technology with leading-edge innovations.

We love usability. As we approach the final stages of designing our robotic surgery platform, we’ve begun conducting comprehensive human factors studies. Just recently, we completed an exciting pilot study involving a surgeon and an OR nurse, guided by our dedicated UX experts and usability consultants. Using our state-of-the-art simulation OR at B. Braun New Ventures to recreate a realistic surgical environment, participants walked through a surgical workflow independently while being observed through multiple cameras. This approach enabled us to identify potential use errors and refine our platform to achieve the highest standards of usability. We are incredibly grateful to have had the expertise of Prof. Uwe Spetzger and Enrico Lehmann from Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe gGmbH along with the outstanding professionals from USE-Ing. who played a vital role in making this pilot study a success. Another milestone in our mission to deliver a groundbreaking robotic surgery solution.
