⚙️ Many tech teams are struggling with talent shortages, costly hiring, skill gaps, and innovation pressure. 🤔 Sound familiar? Corporates and SMEs seek disruption and fresh perspectives, while thousands of students every year are eager for real-world experience and mentorship. So why not connect these two groups to spark innovation and create valuable learning opportunities? It’s a win-win. With this in mind, we’ve expanded our ecosystem membership to include our proven Tech Talent Program. This offering is a unique way for established businesses to engage with young talent and tackle real industry challenges. In other words, corporates and SMEs can now run tailored innovation programs through MotionLab.Berlin. 💡 What’s the Tech Talent Program? Our 10-week Tech Talent program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application. University students specializing in IoT, engineering, and computer science collaborate on industry challenges provided by forward-thinking companies. With access to state-of-the-art prototyping equipment and expert mentorship, they develop solutions that create real business impact. ⭐️Seeing students in action: Two weeks ago, our most recent batch of Tech Talent students began their journey with four startups from the MotionLab.Berlin ecosystem. The kick-off week was filled with introductions and workshops covering topics like prototyping principles, and design thinking. The students met the startups they’ll be working with and got started on their challenges. A big thank you to the startups in this batch—Blue Skies Minerals GmbH, NanoMatter, SPAIA, and VoltVogel—for providing meaningful, impactful challenges! These include designing modular power solutions, structural frameworks for an autonomous mobile robot, and applying physics-informed neural networks. Fridtjof Gustavs, who has been leading the program says: “Overall what I really appreciated was the diversity of students - coming from over 10 universities, different nationalities, and various academic backgrounds. The first week was packed with workshops and coaching, and the students were thrown into the deep end. They managed it well and started working productively in their groups. I was impressed by their level of motivation and passion!” We can’t wait to see the solutions these students develop and how this drives progress for the startups. This is the seventh year MotionLab.Berlin has run this program and, with the impact we have seen in a startup environment, it was the logical next step to offer these benefits for larger corporates and SMEs. 🚀 Why partner with us? 🔹Discover top talent and accelerate recruitment 🔹Spark innovation and access tailored problem-solving for tech development 🔹Position your company as a leader in tech innovation and talent development. Contact Fridtjof Gustavs to learn more about tailored solutions for your business. This program is powered by Berlin Partner, BMWK, and Digital Hub Initiative (rckt).

AI is a new technology that opens possibilities, from screening breast cancer more effectively to discovering new ore bodies. In contrast, carbon removal is strictly a burden, a need created by our tardy response to the climate crisis. It will always be paid last, when all else has been done. We're changing this equation by valorizing carbon removal. Our Carbonated Tailings Process will stabilize mining waste and provide tangible benefits to mining operations, by avoiding the need to build costly dams as well as costly water treatment systems. Indirectly, it will shorten the time required to approve a new mine because our process eliminates the most common objections to mining projects. In our case, carbon removal will be a win for everyone. #CDR #carbonremoval #sustainablemining

Co-Founder & Managing Director @ MotionLab.Berlin | Let's make Hardtech Startup successful to become carbon neutral by 2050.

🌍 Transforming Mining Waste Through CO2 Mineralization Technology 🌍 Introducing the first of four challenges in our 10-week Tech Talent Program at MotionLab.Berlin. This challenge focuses on developing innovative solutions for CO2 mineralization—a crucial technology for stabilizing mining waste and contributing to the fight against climate change. 💧 Participants will work with Blue Skies Minerals GmbH to refine an industrial-scale solution using controlled chemical processes to store CO2 permanently. ✨ The Challenge: Students will dive into monitoring and optimizing CO2 mineralization, focusing on stabilizing mining waste by controlling key parameters like temperature, pH, and gas flow. It’s a hands-on experience that allows students to develop practical skills while tackling real-world environmental challenges. 🌱 👨🔬 Your Mentor – Dr. Silko Barth: Silko, a seasoned physicist and engineer, excels in turning theory into practice. With his hands-on approach, he guides our students through the entire process—from understanding CO2 mineralization fundamentals to building and testing solutions. Silko’s passion for experimentation ensures students gain real-world skills and experience in developing effective, scalable technologies. Working with him means diving into the world of CO2 mineralization and research. 🚀 Connect with Silko 👉 Looking to Solve Real Challenges and Access Top Talent? We started our company by asking a simple question: what can we do to have a positive impact on climate change? We know that human activity releases far too much carbon dioxide and that we must decrease emissions. However, this is not enough: we must also remove excess carbon dioxide. We can find ways to remove excess carbon dioxide, but will this have a positive impact? 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘴/𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳. This was our departure point. We developed a process that stores carbon in mining waste and integrates seamlessly with mining operations. It allows us to remove excess carbon 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 and at 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲. The way that carbon is stored also benefits the mining industry by stabilizing mining waste, so that toxic metals are not released and pollute natural waters. In our minds, this is a win for the planet and a win for the mining industry! #carbonremoval #climatechange #sustainability
