Switching research repositories can feel like a daunting task—especially when years of research data are at stake. But what if it didn’t have to be? 💡 That’s exactly what Julie R. and M. Ryan Chipley, Ph.D. from SAS discovered when they moved from Dovetail to Condens. They needed a stable, secure, and cost-effective alternative, but the thought of migrating all their data felt like a major undertaking. With hands-on support from Condens, their entire repository was seamlessly transferred overnight, without any data loss. Now, they're working more efficiently with a flexible, intuitive platform that fits their needs. 🌟 SAS's journey proves that switching research repositories can be smooth and stress-free with the right support. Swipe to see how they made the move to Condens—and what they gained in the process. 🔗 Link to the full case study is in the comments 👇

One of the habits we’re proud to have kept alive at Condens since day one is personally informing customers about new releases that relate to feedback they shared. This practice, which Maximilian introduced in the very early days, is something we continue to do even as we grow. We noticed that our users appreciate being informed directly. It’s a chance to show that their input genuinely shapes our product. And it’s a nice way of staying in touch personally in a world of mass communication. In this example a single conversation spans 8 months, with 28 messages exchanged (still counting). Ideas, feedback, experiences - all valuable insights we receive directly from users that help us to continuously improve Condens. As our customer base expands and the feedback grows, we’re committed to keeping this practice alive. It’s one of the ways we build a meaningful connection with the people who use our product.

I strongly believe that it’s better to use AI for smaller more scoped tasks (instead of giving it larger tasks that are more broad) throughout the progression of a user research project. My reasoning for this is threefold: 1️⃣ Smaller tasks require less context. You can define the task in a way that doesn’t require AI to know a ton about your organization or industry - context that is hard to provide - and still provide good results. 2️⃣ Smaller tasks require less input data. You can specify a relevant subset of data to provide as input and this reduces the risk of running into the technical limitations LLMs face today. There’s good evidence that too much input produces worse results. 3️⃣ Smaller scoped tasks give you the chance to review, adjust, and refine the direction of the analysis well before any final results are produced. The likelihood of errors accumulating is lower, and it’s a lot easier to spot and fix any mistakes early. On the contrary, AI-produced results of broader tasks tend to have worse quality and thus require proportionally more time to correct. How we use AI can surely change in the future, but in its current state, this is how I think AI can be best applied to user research. #ai #uxresearch

Ever been here? You’ve just wrapped up a research session, and now you need to... 🙌 Share a quick update to keep your team engaged. ✍️ Provide an overview to stakeholders who couldn’t attend. 🤞 Check if a past interview mentions something relevant for your current project. And, of course, you need to do it fast. That’s where Session Summaries come in. They help you: ⏩ Quickly summarize a Session without diving into hours of analysis. 🤝 Keep your team aligned, especially if they missed the live interview. 💡 Ensure everyone—teammates and stakeholders alike—has a clear, ongoing understanding of your users. With Session Summaries you can stay fast, focused, and in sync—even when the pressure’s on.

🎉 It's that time of year again: year-end reflections! Here are a few highlights that made 2024 special for me 1️⃣ Our team grew like never before This year, we welcomed 5 amazing new colleagues to Condens: Phillis, Olivia, Erik, Iva, and Julian – plus our pawsome office companion, Tara 🐾. This growth has brought fresh perspectives and new skills that have all been valuable contributions to our team. At the same time we’ve worked hard to stay lean, streamlined processes and embraced automation. 2️⃣ A full year in our new office We’ve made it our cozy home, celebrated some fantastic team events, and leveled up our table tennis skills 🏓. Now, we’re on the hunt for a new office sport for 2025 – darts? Table ice hockey? Got a fun suggestion? Share your ideas! 3️⃣ Seeing long-term impact from our customers' work We’re so proud of the incredible things our customers are able to achieve with Condens. This year, we were particularly inspired by the stories that some of them shared. Just a few include Christian Richards from the The Weir Group PLC, Alexander Schüller from XXXLdigital – Part of XXXL Group, and Collin Pfender from ShiftKey. What their stories all have in common is that patience and consistent effort pay off. A good reminder that while quick wins are great, meaningful change takes time. Seeing our customers elevate research maturity and create real impact with their research repositories has been amazing. Here’s to an even brighter 2025! 🌟
