Today I had a really inspiring day ! 😊 I participated to the 1st day of the 1st in-person #UX360 event focused only on #UXResearch !!! 🔎 My first learnings hot off the press : 🎯 1. Set Critical User Journey Goals - from Javier Andrés Bargas-Avila of Google. Those goals should be approved internally and require alignments to have not more than 7 CUJ goals, and then be measured. 🤦♀️ 2. Accessibility unfortunately did not improve so much since decades even if we all know how important this is for at lease 1 over 4 people using digital interfaces! Thanks Julia Gurney for this reminder and concreate examples! 💰 3. ROI of UXR can be estimated through several angles : cost saving, self-serve vs managed serve, identifying new opportunities through customer needs, unloacking a blocker... And always speak business languages if you want a seat at the table! Great speach from Emmanuelle Savarit,PhD 🗒 4. always have a Research brief!!! It makes you align on the outcomes and KPIs :) ❗ 5. Strategic findings can be found even on tactical researches such as user testing ! and UXR should learn to say NO, to avoid over-workload and to focus on what we do and do it really well ☕ 6. Identify the culture of your organization to adjust how you leverage your research findings : it helps to be trusted and impactful ! thank you Soma Ray for this interesting workshop! 👹 7. Data privacy should be one of the top priority of UX Researcher as we are responsible for our research data and therefore the users behind them! thanks Natasha S. den Dekker for highlighting this! 🌍 8. Be prepared to review how you work and validate your findings with local teams when you're doing researches on multiples countries and cultures : it will change the findings and give context! from Petra Kubalcik 🇺🇦 I will definitively write more in a few days but again thanks to all the speakers and to the organisators for this inspiring day :) Let's rest and have a new learning day tomorrow !

What is going to change in the UXR field over the next few years? We can make all kinds of predictions, whether it’s about emerging tools, AI’s growing role, or shifting user expectations. We can analyse trends over the last decades and see how and if we can fit in. Another thing we can do is think about what is NOT going to change. We believe that the need to learn from each other and, most of all, to build valuable connections is something that will always remain important. The core of our work—understanding people and creating better user experiences—relies on collaboration, shared insights, and a vibrant community. This is one of the reasons we yearly organise the UXinsight Festival, a UXR conference for UX researchers, by UX researchers. The 2025 Festival is on the horizon and we’re announcing the program really soon… Don’t miss out; subscribe to our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/erkfQUZc #UXResearch #UXR #UserResearch #UXRConference

Yesterday was a day I’d been looking forward to for a long time. Shira Natovich-Ashkenazi 🎗️, a true master of UX research, came to share her expertise in a workshop with my students at Tel Aviv University. The session? Packed with practical tools, real-world examples, and the kind of lessons you only gain from years of hands-on experience. For 3 hours, we were glued to her every word, soaking up her insights and re-learning the importance of research and testing. Her words still resonate with me: "Even a small amount of research is better than none at all." So, if you’re a startup or organization looking to refine your UX research approach, Shira is the expert you need on your side. And yes, if you’re wondering about that massive pile of candy on the table—that’s the “latecomers’ tax” my students have to pay. Definitely came in handy this time!

🌟Exciting News🌟 Recently, I successfully completed the certification of: Generative UX research: From data to action. This certification was obtained following the 2-week online course hosted by Maria Sol Velazquez Saddakni, a renowned UX researcher manager at Mercado Libre and an expert in the field of Mixed Research Methods. During the interactive lectures, we covered all relevant learnings on how to transmit the findings of generative research to stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Going from the informational layer to the analytical one using affinity diagrams to organize the information, turning findings into actionable insights and lastly integrating the findings into meaningful storytelling and Identifying the most cost-effective deliverable to enhance the overall impact of the research objectives. For me, this course enabled me to further improve my quantitative UX research skills, especially in the areas of: 1️⃣ Specific tools to collect and analyze the #information arising from interviews, according to the objectives of the #research 2️⃣ Different types of deliverables depending on the context and need of the team (because not everything is a powerpoint). 3️⃣ Methods to go from discovery to #insight 🤓 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤!

Users are ready to talk. The question is, are you ready to listen? 📢 Today, users are more vocal than ever. They leave reviews, answer surveys, and engage in conversations – all because they want to be heard. Listening is more than just collecting data. It's about going beyond the surface-level feedback and discovering the emotions, frustrations, and aspirations that drive user behavior. It requires curiosity and empathy to dig deeper, ask the right questions, and sometimes, to read between the lines. 🔍 In UX research, the most valuable insights often come from the smallest details: a hesitant pause during an interview, the way someone navigates your interface, or an unexpected piece of feedback. These moments tell a story that data alone cannot capture. The key to better user experience lies in ✨active listening ✨. When you listen, you learn. When you learn, you can design solutions that truly resonate with your users. So, the real question is: Are you ready to listen and act on what your users are telling you? PS, I have one spot for UX research project before the year ends. HMU if you wanna start your new year with better decisions. 😉 #UXResearch #UserFeedback #Listening #UserExperience #EmpathyInDesign

Excited to announce that I've just finished Google's insightful course, "Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts" on Coursera. This course provided a deep dive into the user research process, equipping me with the tools to: Plan effective UX research studies: I learned how to define research goals, choose the right methods (interviews, surveys, etc.), and recruit the perfect participants. Craft user personas and journey maps: These tools will allow me to understand user needs and pain points better, leading to more empathetic and user-centered designs. Test low-fidelity prototypes with users: This course emphasized the importance of getting early user feedback to iterate and refine design concepts before investing significant resources. I'm eager to apply these new skills to my current projects and contribute to creating user experiences that truly resonate! #uxresearch #coursera #googleuxdesign #learning
