🕰️ 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔: 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒑𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒊𝒙𝒆𝒍𝒔 – 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒆𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒌'𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 Deutsche Bank was founded as a joint stock company in 1870 in Berlin with a total share capital of 5 million thalers. The Deutsche Bank shares began trading for the first time on the Berlin Stock Exchange on May 12, 1870, but share certificates were only issued as of September 1871. In 1929 Deutsche Bank merged with Disconto-Gesellschaft. A new design was needed, which was to remain in use for decades. Until 1966 share prices were given as a percentage, in Deutsche Mark until 1998, and from 1998 onwards in euros. The look of the Deutsche Bank shares has changed over time. Physical certificates are today a thing of the past, with buyers receiving virtual ones instead. But – and this is quite unique – the name and legal form of the issuer have remained unchanged since 1870. 📷 Our photo gallery shows share certificates dating from 1871, 1888, 1929, 1952, 1957 and 1995. #TimelessTreasures #History #DeutscheBank

Mark Fedorcik, our Co-Head of the Investment Bank and Global Head of Origination & Advisory (O&A), has informed the bank about his intention to retire from the industry and take on a new challenge in the corporate sector. Alison Harding-Jones, currently Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), has been appointed as his successor. Mark has been with Deutsche Bank for 30 years, having joined as a graduate in 1995. During that time, he has played an integral role in the development and turnaround of our O&A business, also during challenging times. Since joining the bank as Global Head of M&A in January 2024, Alison has made a significant impact in further evolving our M&A franchise. During her career, she has held senior roles at banks in London, Hong Kong and New York. As part of her appointment as Global Head of O&A, she will also become Co-Head of the Investment Bank alongside Ram Nayak, Head of Fixed Income and Currencies. We wish them both all the best!

Can a centuries-old industry reinvent itself for a sustainable future? 🤔 Salzgitter AG thinks so. The steel industry, a cornerstone of modern infrastructure and responsible for 7% of global emissions, is on the brink of a green revolution. Salzgitter AG, one of the largest steel producers in Europe, is leading the charge with its ambitious SALCOS® project, which aims to slash CO₂ emissions by a staggering 95% by 2033. Their secret weapon? Replacing coal with green hydrogen. This shift, though complex, promises to dramatically reduce the industry's carbon footprint. The potential impact is huge, especially for downstream industries like automotive, appliances, and renewable energy, which rely heavily on steel. 🗨️ “The steel sector is a crucial decarbonisation enabler for multiple industries, as utilizing green steel reduces upstream Scope 3 emissions of corporates relying on steel, a factor particularly relevant for the German economy.” Lavinia Bauerochse, Global Head of Sustainable Finance, Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank. We are proud to support Salzgitter's transformation as a lender and sustainability coordinator for its SALCOS® project. This initiative highlights our commitment to helping clients in CO2-intensive industries transition to more sustainable business models. Watch the video for the full story behind Salzgitter’s transition to green steel. 👇 #DeutscheBank #TransitionStories #GreenSteel #Sustainability

🇭🇰 125 years since we arrived in Hong Kong! The very first time we set foot in Hong Kong was in 1900, back when the city was already thriving as a bustling hub of trade and commerce, and before the first tramcars rolled through the streets. Following the second world war, Deutsche Bank's East Asian subsidiary at the time, Deutsch-Asiatische Bank (DAB), re-opened its branch in the city in 1958. From financing trade with China to issuing government bonds, we quickly became a vital part of the region's growth story. 📈 Over the decades, we have been privileged to witness and contribute to Hong Kong's evolution into a global financial powerhouse. 🌐 Today, Hong Kong stands as one of our dual headquarters in Asia Pacific - a testament to our enduring commitment to connecting clients across borders and driving progress. As a gateway to the region, it is a crucial center for our investment banking, corporate banking, private banking, and asset management services. Thank you to our clients, employees, and partners, who have been a part of this incredible journey. Here's to many more years of success and collaboration! #DeutscheBank #HongKong #DBAPAC150 #TeamDBAPAC
