Motovating story by Marisa Pereira !
This is the 🌞 summer edition of the Career Energizer! Find articles from blogs & podcasts we love for inspiring career input in between 🍉 Eisbach or Isar. Today, let's listen to an inspiring career story! Some reasons we love Marisa Pereira story? 🔸 Marisa overcame significant challenges due to animal illness during her PhD in Biomedical Sciences. 🔸 Post-PhD, she transitioned from academia to industry due to the lack of stable scientific careers in Portugal. She used a bold LinkedIn-strategy to secure a job in a biotech company. 🔸 She co-founded pic.cell, a brand 💫 creating textile designs from scientific images. Check out Pic.Cell on Instagram: https://lnkd.in/dSNegFPn 🔸 Marisa encourages people who believe in one idea, to go for it. “Don’t be afraid and take the risk. Networking, Friendship and interesting ideas appear.” Hear Marisa’s story in the Podcast series PhD Career Stories* by Tina Persson, PhD - ICF Certified PCC Coach: https://shorturl.at/ID4QW (*In May this year Tina closed her Podcast after 8 years. This is a great way to celebrate it and sort through the archive for more inspiring talks). -- CAREER ENERGIZER are career tipps from the Helmholtz Munich Career Center for Postdocs and Doctoral Researchers, as part of the Scientific Training & Career Development Team. ❤️Like & share in your network. #phdcareers #sciencecareers photo credit: Pic.Cell
