Relays are essential components in the electronics and electrical engineering industry. They are used to control and check electrical loads by transmitting signals from one circuit to another. There are two main groups of relays: electro-mechanical and electronic relays. They are complemented by new hybrid types. E-T-A’s product portfolio offers the right solution for every application. E-T-A offers overcurrent protection systems for higher DC voltages. DC voltage systems offer many advantages in industry, such as the possibility of integrating photovoltaic systems. In order to protect the networks, some special features must be taken into account when selecting the protection and switching devices. Our electronic overcurrent protection prevents the output voltage of switching power supplies from failing in the case of short circuits and overloads. For the eighth time now, the current world market leader index of the St. Gallen university and of the Akademie Deutscher Weltmarktführer (academy of German world market leaders - ADWM) lists E-T-A Elektrotechnische Apparate GmbH as the world market leader in the “circuit breakers for equipment protection and circuit protectors” segment. “It is not a matter of course to be at the top. Therefore, we are very proud that we were able to keep our position as World Market Leader again. The entire E-T-A team is delighted to receive this award from the St. Gallen University again this year”, states CEO Dr. Jennifer A. Sell. Under the scientific direction of Professor Christoph Mueller, the Henri B. Meier Business School of the Universität St.Gallen (HSG) developed the World Market Leader Index in co-operation with the ADWM.
