🌱🇮🇩 How can Indonesia harness its immense potential to build a sustainable and economically viable biomethane market? And what regulations and certifications are essential to consider? As #Indonesia looks to expand its #biomethane initiatives, a delegation of industry experts travelled to Germany to look for answers to these, and many other, questions. Germany's established expertise in this area provides an inspiring model of sustainable energy development. Recently, we had the privilege of organising a study tour together with GIZ Indonesia & ASEAN, where we explored innovative biomethane projects, connected with industry experts, and heard from government officials—all with the goal of advancing biomethane deployment in Indonesia. Highlights of the Study Tour: 🔋 Site visits to state-of-the-art bioenergy facilities like Bioenergy Geest, EnviTec Biogas AG’s Bioenergy Park in Güstrow, and more. 🌍 Engaging discussions with the Danish Consulate and the Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. (FNR) on fostering cross-border partnerships. 🏛️ A workshop with German government officials, market and certification experts, to discuss essential biomethane policies. 🏙️ A visit to Berlin’s City Cleaning Company (Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe / BSR) to explore #wastemanagement and energy production. The study tour provided a wealth of knowledge and potential for collaboration to support sustainable energy transitions. 🌍 Exploring Green Hydrogen Solutions for Industry & Transport 🌍 As the organizer on behalf of eclareon GmbH, I had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Singapore’s energy sector to Germany, with all activities funded by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action) and the Exportinitiative Energie (German Energy Solutions Initiative).
