Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, yet over 60,000 women are diagnosed each year across Europe. Early detection and preventive measures save lives, but awareness and screening rates vary greatly. That’s why EIT Health supported start-up Longenesis, in partnership with MSD, has launched a online cervical cancer risk test. This tool empowers women with: ✅ Personalised risk assessments based on lifestyle and individual factors ✅ Actionable prevention recommendations to take control of your health ✅ Educational reports to encourage regular screenings and healthier choices This initiative is a major step towards personalised cancer prevention, aiming to reduce cervical cancer incidence and bridge healthcare disparities. Early cancer detection saves lives and reduces healthcare costs - yet current screening programmes across Europe remain fragmented. With blood-based cancer screening (BBCS), we have the opportunity to rethink early detection at scale. 👉 https://loom.ly/rZB0ydE The BBCS Think Tank, led by EIT Health, is bringing together policy leaders, healthcare providers, innovators, start-ups, and advocacy groups to explore: 🔍 Potential 📊 Evidence 🛠 Implementation 📣 Uptake Why this matters? - Emerging methodologies must be assessed for quality, applicability, and cost-effectiveness before widescale adoption. - Policymakers and regulatory bodies require clear, evidence-based recommendations to integrate BBCS into population-level screening. - Equitable access to early detection aligns with the EU’s goal to reduce premature cancer deaths by at least 25% by 2030.
