Smart Farming with Fendt and testimonial Tobias Händel 👩🌾 Together with his parents, Tobias Händel runs a mixed farm, with viticulture, arable farming and vegetable growing in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. Since his grandfather bought their first Fendt tractor in 1976, the family has been very impressed by the Fendt brand and have only bought Fendt tractors ever since. Since 2023, the farm uses FendtONE in viticulture. With the farm being located in a very small-scale landscape with uneven surfaces, their business is divided into many individual fields. For processing field boundaries and managing waylines, they use FendtONE offboard.🤩 "With FendtONE offboard, I no longer have to manually record field boundaries with the tractor. 🥇Fendt 728 Vario overtakes Fendt 724 Vario as Germany's most popular tractor. 🎉 With 1,520 registered units the Fendt 728 Vario is the most registered tractor in Germany, followed by the Fendt 724 Vario with 1,024 registered units and the Fendt 516 Vario with 577 machines. These registration figures mean that all three Fendt tractors will be the most popular in Germany in 2024. 📰 profi magazine writes: "Fendt secured a double-digit increase last year. 7,421 registered tractors mean an addition of a healthy 1,281 units and a market share of 25% in the table of all registered tractors - so every fourth tractor registered in Germany comes from Marktoberdorf. In the table for 50 hp and above, one in three tractors even comes from the Allgäu - a market share of almost 30 %." 💬 "With over 1,500 new Fendt 728 Vario registrations, Fendt has set an absolute record for new registrations. Last Monday we welcomed almost 40 students to our virtual Fendt #PracticeDay. 👩🎓👨🎓 It was an insightful event with motivated and highly engaged students! 🚀    The day included an interactive quiz as well as enlightening discussions about Fendt innovations and career opportunities. One of the highlights was the virtual tours of our German sites, where the students got to meet our dedicated employees: 🟢 Marktoberdorf: Simon Fischer & Martin Ried 🟢 Asbach-Bäumenheim: Nicole Frickel 🟢 Feucht: Dr. Ute David 🟢 Hohenmölsen: Sarah-Luise Dölz & Mathias Pieske 🟢 Wolfenbüttel: Aaron Leila The students had the opportunity to learn more about FendtONE and how it simplifies the daily work of farmers. Travelling back in time to 1958 🕰 1958 was a groundbreaking year for Fendt, as the previous Fendt Dieselross range was replaced with the introduction of the Fendt Fix Farmer Favorit series (ff series). With the slogan "Wer Fendt fährt, führt!"("Leaders drive Fendt"), Fendt presented a new range of tractors with a fresh design and a power range from 15 to 80 hp. With this groundbreaking development, Fendt caught up with the top tractor manufacturers. The Fendt ff series offered farmers a wide range of powerful and versatile Fendt tractors that met their needs and enabled them to work more efficiently and productively. AGRICULTURE WORLDWIDE – Brazil Brazil's thriving agricultural sector is a testament to its vast land area and abundant natural resources.🏞️ Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world in terms of area, occupying more than 8.5 million square kilometers. With nearly eight percent of its area devoted to agriculture, the country has established itself as a major grain grower, particularly cereals, beans and oilseeds. 🙌👀 The country is essentially self-sufficient in basic foodstuffs and is a leading exporter of a wide range of crops, including oranges, soybeans, coffee, and cassava, which are grown mainly in the South and Southeast. Over the past few decades, the Brazilian agricultural sector has evolved from a traditional system to become a prominent player in global agriculture. 📈   Soybeans are the largest and most concentrated segment of global agricultural trade. Two land-abundant countries – Brazil and the United States – supply most of the world’s soybean exports. By contributing more than 50 percent of the world’s soybean trade from crops produced on 17 percent of the country’s arable land, Brazil is the largest soybean producer in the world. Most important, Brazil’s ability to harvest two to three crops a year in the same plot of land makes it unique compared to other grain and soybean-producing countries. 🚨Today, on the European 112 Day, we would like to shine a light on our Fendt fire brigade🧑🚒🚒 Like many manufacturing sites Fendt has a security concept in place to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents in line with AGCO Corporations commitment to a safe workplace. This includes an on-site fire brigade. Today we take a look at the Marktoberdorf on-site fire brigade with 43 motivated and well trained members. They are among other things trained in: 🧯extinguishing fires of different types 🩹 first response 🧗 rescues from heights 🦺 site specific safety measures As part of the development of future-oriented agricultural machinery with electric drives such as the Fendt e100 Vario, the Fendt site in Marktoberdorf, Germany, has also invested in preventive safety measures specialised in electric drive. At Agritechnica 2023 Fendt was awarded the status of an audited high-voltage training centre and has already trained numerous Fendt employees as well as mechanics working at our sales partners. ⚡ In addition to the special training they are now equipped with a special blanket as well as a safety-trailer custom-made for the Fendt e100 Vario to react quickly to possible issues. In the event of a problem with the battery such as rising battery temperatures, the tractor is pulled out of the manufacturing hall into the special trailer with its integrated 16-tonne cable winch and monitored with a thermal imager. The tractor is then in the right place to prevent fire.  In case the battery of the tractor catches fire in the manufacturing hall, it is immediately covered with the new fire containment blanket which can withstand a temperature of 1,500°C. Measuring 8 x 10 metres, it can completely cover the tractor and ensure that the fire does not spread. The covered tractor is then pulled into the special trailer. After closing the trailer flap, the trailer is filled with a total of 40.000 litres of water completely covering the tractor. An additional hydraulic four-point support has been installed to support the weight when filling with water. As the battery has to cool down completely, the tractor has to remain in the water-filled trailer for 72 hours.
