At ISCC, we collaborate with our sister company, Meo Carbon Solutions, to develop a new certification scheme tailored to family dairy farms (FDFs). In July this year, the Danish Energy Agency pre-recognised the ISCC EU certification approach for Renewable Fuels of Non-biological Origin (RFNBOs). We have now issued the first ISCC RFNBO certificate to the electrolysis plant of Grøn Brint A/S, marking a significant step in sustainable hydrogen production.   The Grøn Brint electrolysis plant was certified by our cooperating Certification Body Baltic Control® Certification. Thank you to both partners for bringing the first ISCC RFNBO certificate to the market!   The official recognition for the ISCC EU RFNBO and RCF (Recycled Carbon Fuels) certification approach by the European Commission (EC) is still pending and eagerly anticipated by ISCC and many market participants. Following various RFNBO pilot certifications – including also the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions savings – and achieving the latest milestone, we are looking forward to starting the official ISCC EU RFNBO certification process once the recognition by the EC is granted.   You are interested in RFNBO certification? New documents in public consultation! 📣 As part of our commitment to dialogue and transparent communication, we are constantly striving to improve the ISCC System through feedback from our System Users, Certification Bodies and other interested third parties. You can now provide your feedback for two new documents available for public consultation. 💭 1. The ISCC Guidance Document Waste and Residues from Food and Food Processing. This document includes definitions for used cooking oil (UCO) and brown grease; it also covers details about the locations where these substances accumulate and other considerations for auditors. It is subject to public consultation until 13 December 2024. 2. The ISCC 208 Logos and Claims Document (v2.0). This updated version refines the previous one, providing clear and comprehensive guidance for the use and development of ISCC logos and claims. It also includes best practice examples to support effective implementation. This document is subject to public consultation until 28 December 2024. Updates from the European Parliament on EUDR implementation 📣   Last week, the European Parliament approved an additional 12-month phase-in period, responding to calls by global partners.    However, we highly recommend beginning preparations for EUDR implementation now to ensure a smooth transition. An ISCC certification, combined with the EUDR Add-on, offers a great solution for companies to mitigate risks related to environmental and human rights criteria, as well as to ensure the accuracy of deforestation analyses. ✅   Our brand-new guidance document for the EUDR Add-on will provide you with detailed information including the certification process, requirements and auditor documentation.   📚 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eGZEbwUX #EUDR #EU #ISCC
