Our Kurtz Ersa teams in Shanghai, Zhuhai, and Hong Kong recently gathered to celebrate at the annual dinners the transition from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake—an auspicious time symbolizing wisdom and adaptability. Group CEO Thomas Mühleck announced a historic shift, moving more responsibility to our Zhuhai plant, and reaffirmed his commitment to leading and serving our global team. He also shared “The Optimist,” an inspiring thumbs-up sculpture by German artist Ottmar Hörl. CEO of Asian Operations, Bernd Schenker, reviewed recent challenges and offered a positive outlook, emphasizing our strength when we stand together. We also honored long-serving colleagues, recognizing milestones of 10+, 15+, 20+, and even 35+ years. Grateful for “The Optimist,” our Hong Kong team presented Thomas with a traditional money tree, symbolizing prosperity.
