Our data science team is on its way to #ICID2024 in Cape Town where Alejandra Rincón Hidalgo will present the research results on how mobile data enables forecasting epidemic dynamics. The 20th International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID)  is the premier meeting by International Society for Infectious Diseases that brings together over 2,500 infectious disease experts from more than 100 countries. We are looking forward to four insightful, interesting and inspiring days!

Future mobility and transport services will be connected, and mobile networks will play a crucial role! 🚙 📶 Last week, the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) held a congress at which our colleague Frank Gruhlke was able to take part in a demo drive in the centre of Berlin. It illustrated how technology can alert drivers about pedestrians and cyclists even before they can see them, leveraging sensors and a camera feed from other vehicles. Yesterday was an inspiring day for our colleagues Dr. Wolfgang Balzer, Nemanja Randelovic and Frank Gruhlke at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. They participated in the third session of the 6G Exchange Platform (AP6G) this year, an initiative led by the Bundesnetzagentur. This forum plays a crucial role in shaping the future of 6G by bringing together experts and decision-makers from industry, research, and administration to share their insights, address challenges, and align their strategies to influence the global 6G standardization process at 3GPP. Our colleagues' participation reflects our interest in contributing to a future-ready and secure digital infrastructure. Engaging with key industry players and regulatory bodies helps to ensure that the transition to 6G is smooth, creating new opportunities for businesses and society alike. Looking forward to the continued progress in the 6G journey and to many more productive discussions at AP6G!
