#PositivelyPurple: a symbol of inclusion and accessibility December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Rheinmetall is using this day as an opportunity to raise awareness of the issue. In this context, the Group is supporting the international Positively Purple campaign by calling for a symbol of inclusion and accessibility. What do we do? ***Photo campaign for all Rheinmetall employees*** The Corporate Health Solutions team is organizing a photo campaign and calling on all Rheinmetall employees to participate! A collage will be created from the photos submitted, which will be published on Rheinmetall's communication channels as a symbol of inclusion and accessibility. ***Lights on at the company headquarters*** In addition to the photo campaign, the Rheinmetall Group headquarters building in Düsseldorf will be involved with lighting today: the atrium areas will be illuminated in the symbolic color purple at dusk. ***Purple on at the companies social media channels*** To make sure that anybody who visits Rheinmetall´s Social Media Channels are aware of today´s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Rheinmetall will color their hubs in purple. ***More about inclusion and accessibility at Rheinmetall*** For many years, Rheinmetall has been committed to a corporate culture in which all employees can develop their full potential, and promotes self-determined and equal participation. As early as 2002, Rheinmetall and the Representative Body for Severely Handicapped Employees (KSBV) defined important principles and integration goals in a framework integration agreement. In accordance with the guideline for the employment of people with disabilities developed for Rheinmetall’s German companies in 2018, the first Rheinmetall inclusion agreement was signed with the KSBV in 2020 with the participation of the Group Works Council. Among other things, it contains targets for extensive accessibility in the recruiting process and for the design of workplaces that are suitable for people with disabilities. In addition, all employees worldwide can access various learning modules on this important topic free of charge via the e-learning platform Skillsoft Percipio, even on their private mobile devices. “We also have a lot planned for the coming year,” says Caroline-Ann Schmitz, Vice President Corporate Health Solutions. ”We want to further develop our structures within the Group, strengthen even more locations with inclusion teams and organize various events. In addition, we will continue to network across companies.” #Rheinmetall #IDPD #Inclusion #Diversity #Bildbeschreibung #PositivelyPurple
