Our next generation digital telemedicine solutions enhance the quality and efficacy of medical care, allowing the healthcare staff to refocus on its original job – caring for the patient. The Tele-ICU team with one highly experienced intensivist can provide service for 100 or more ICU patients at any time by leveraging high quality telemedicine clinical decision support, made possible by predictive algorithms and artificial intelligence. Machine learning can enable the tele-ICU team to identify patterns in large data sets of high-frequency, real-time patient data (e.g. vital parameters, laboratory results, ventilator setup, etc.) to provide support that can range from detection of unintentional pharmaceutical interactions to prediction of deterioration and outcome of ICU patients. This transformation in ICU care will result in large medical competence centers providing this type of high-end telemedicine and will create new specialties such as “Telemedicine Specialist”. Again, telemedicine is not a competitor, but rather a supporter, of ICU performance optimization. Collaboration between centralized centers and bedside teams will lead to improved outcomes, shorter length of stay, decreased purchased care costs, and greater staff satisfaction. The Society of Critical Care recently recommended replacing the term “tele-ICU” with “tele-critical-care” due to the fact that existing tele-ICU providers have extended their service to other departments (e.g. emergency department, stroke unit), indicating fast adoption of telemedicine in broad applications. Furthermore, many medical smartphone apps exist, though quality and relevance varies greatly. As smartphones permeate modern daily life and routine, there is growing interest in utilizing them in telemedicine; however, at this point there is limited large-scale evaluation of this use.

#TCCtuesday – Overcoming the challenges of digital transformation in healthcare: How TCC's tailored project management leads to sustainable success for hospitals In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, clinics face a multitude of challenges on their journey to digital transformation. Despite the promising potential of new technologies, many projects fail to achieve sustainable implementation due to complex hurdles, from regulatory constraints to workflow disruptions. At TCC, we understand these unique barriers and have adapted our project management approach to meet these specific requirements. By working closely with our clients, we ensure seamless, effective solutions that drives lasting success to support medical staff and optimise the whole hospital process. The TCC project management team plans the holistic process for integrating these solutions, such as interoperable dashboards, decision support systems and comprehensive networking. All components are flexibly adapted to the specific needs of the clinics. The goal is not only to bundle a variety of data from different sources, but also to prepare it in an intuitive way. It is particularly important that the products are designed in such a way that they emphasize the clinical relevance of the data and enable medical staff to interpret it in real time. For this reason, a key aspect of the project management team's work is close collaboration with our IT and data analysis experts. Thanks to their expertise, the integration of AI-supported decision-making systems, dashboards and networking within and outside the facility can be planned and implemented individually. For example, the team ensures that the AI modules enable comprehensive and precise data analysis that is integrated into the medical context and enables clinically relevant decision support. The planning of seamless communication and data exchange between the various stakeholders – including doctors, nursing staff and external experts – is also taken into account in the project planning. A seamless infrastructure within the networks plays a key role in modern telemedicine and enables efficient collaboration and the location-independent use of medical expertise. The TCC project management team also oversees and organizes long-term support and technical assistance with the help of our customer success management and IT team. This includes ongoing maintenance, regular updates and the provision of support to ensure a trouble-free application and high user satisfaction. This continuous support process ensures that new findings and functions can be flexibly integrated into the existing systems and that they meet user expectations in the long term. #tcctuesday #telemedicine #digitalhealth #decisionsupport #AI #healthcareinnovation #projectmanagement #hospitalreform

Dr. Alexander Krannich on how we at TCC are enhancing machine learning with methods that bring practical, data-driven benefits to our customers.
Wondering about machine learning? Let’s Dive Deep with TCC Analytics. At TCC, machine learning isn’t just a buzzword — it’s part of our core DNA, powering intelligent solutions that drive meaningful impact for our clients. From crafting advanced data models to building AI systems that learn and adapt in real-time, we leverage a variety of activation functions to make it all happen. Activation functions are like the switches of AI, guiding our algorithms as they learn, improve, and perform at their best. Here’s how we’re using them at TCC to push the boundaries of machine learning: 1. ReLU (Rectified Linear Unit): With its simplicity and speed, ReLU is our go-to for deep networks. It accelerates our models' convergence and helps them tackle complex tasks efficiently, which is critical for delivering quick, robust insights. 2. Sigmoid: This activation function smoothens the output, making it ideal for binary classification tasks. It’s a staple in our predictive models, helping to drive decisions in applications where accuracy is crucial. 3. Tanh (Hyperbolic Tangent): Tanh activation centers the data, making it perfect for networks dealing with zero-mean inputs. By improving data centralization, we ensure that our models learn in a balanced way, boosting performance across various tasks. 4. Softmax: When dealing with multi-class classification, Softmax is our choice. It transforms raw scores into probabilities, allowing us to make precise, informed predictions across a range of scenarios, from customer segmentation to product recommendations. 5. Leaky ReLU: Addressing the "dying neuron" problem, Leaky ReLU gives us flexibility where traditional ReLU might fall short. This is essential for models where continuous learning and adaptation are a must. Our goal is to stay at the forefront of AI innovation. We’re not just applying machine learning, we’re enhancing it with methods that bring practical, data-driven benefits to our clients. #machinelearning #AI #datadriven #innovation #TCC

At today's #TCCtuesday, we want to give you a closer look at how we integrate our products and services to improve the efficiency of healthcare facilities and reduce staff workload in a sustainable way. Medical facilities rely on complex processes and structures. To be able to act quickly and still react individually to the needs of the facility, we have designed component planning that is comparable to a plug & play concept. Our solutions, such as real-time, data-driven dashboards, enable efficient staff planning and workload reduction, while our advanced decision support systems help to increase the efficiency of hospital operations by linking and AI-based analysis of existing data. This means that the dashboards we design have a lasting impact on employees by providing them with contextually relevant information, visualized and organized in real time. They intuitively get the right information at the right time, so they can be in the right place. This optimizes and reduces workload in the long term, and improves resource planning and care for the individual patient These product and service solutions are 'plug and play', meaning they can be quickly and easily adapted to the individual needs of our customers. Our solutions can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each organization right from the implementation phase. Efficiency is addressed directly at the root of the problem, resulting in a lasting reduction in on-site workload, increased productivity and greater flexibility in the supply chain. This scalability ensures that our offering keeps pace with the requirements of the healthcare sector and adapts dynamically to changing needs - quickly, efficiently and without interruption. With our “plug & play” solutions, we make it easy for you to achieve optimal results in the shortest possible time that are future-oriented and long-term. If you are interested in a consultation on how dashboards, which are also an elementary area of telemedicine, can be used optimally, we look forward to hearing from you: info@tcc-clinicalsolutions.de #HealthcareInnovation #AIinHealthcare #DigitalHealth #PlugAndPlay #DataDrivenHealthcare #TCCsolutions #TCCtuesday #FutureOfHealthcare

Dr. Alexander Krannich on how TCC is using Generative Adversarial Networks to improve individualised therapy and patient care in the future.
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are a fascinating advancement in AI, driving breakthroughs in data generation. Here’s a quick look at how they work: 1. Two parts: Generator and Discriminator GANs consist of two neural networks: the Generator, which creates new data, and the Discriminator, which evaluates whether that data is real or fake. 2. They challenge each other The Generator and Discriminator are in constant competition. The Generator's goal is to create data so realistic that it fools the Discriminator, while the Discriminator’s job is to become better at detecting what's real and what’s generated. 3. The Generator makes new data Starting from random noise, the Generator learns to create data that mimics real-world samples. This can include images, audio, text, or other types of data. 4. The Discriminator checks if it’s real The Discriminator acts as a gatekeeper, constantly improving its ability to identify real data from fake and giving feedback to the Generator on how to improve. 5. They keep getting better! As training continues, both the Generator and Discriminator improve over time. The Generator produces more realistic data, and the Discriminator gets better at spotting fake data. The result? Highly convincing, synthetic data that can be used for a variety of applications, from image generation to data augmentation. TCC GmbH tested Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) to investigate similarities in patient patterns. This can help to tailor therapy decisions in the future and to improve patients’ life. #machinelearning #datascience #GAN #AI #TCCanalytics #digitalcare
