One of our highlights this year: Ada Lovelace Festival! 🌟 This week, several of our talented colleagues at The Stepstone Group participated in the Ada Lovelace Festival, a highlight of the year-long Ada Fellowship program, where future-minded professionals explore the transformative role of #AI and #DigitalInnovation in shaping the workplace of tomorrow. At the event, we were able to see two very familiar faces on stage: 🚀 Our CEO Sebastian Dettmers was part of a panel discussing ‘upskilling and reskilling in the age of automation’. The result: resilience, problem solving and social skills are needed. 🤖 Stefanie Foese, Senior Legal Counsel Tech & Product and Ada Fellowship alumna, together with other great speakers, gave a workshop on how to create a company guideline on responsible AI. Thanks again to ada for the great event and letting us be part of the fellowship: The Ada Fellowship is a one-year, part-time fellowship program designed to guide organizations towards a more digital future. 💙 Special thanks to this year’s cohort for exploring how technological advancements drive social change, build a strong network and gain in-depth insights into current technological trends: Elliot Bloomfield, Robin Reinhold Klea Sanka, Lea Schröder, Marie Klemsmann, Nathalie Hauzeur, Samuel Lwambwa and Wolfgang Schwemmer. How do we make our workplace more inclusive for neurodiverse colleagues? Our Champions of Accessibility Network (CAN) recently hosted an insightful webinar on “Neurodiversity in the Workplace”. With over 60 colleagues joining, we explored how we can create more inclusive communication and collaboration practices for neurodiverse environments. We were honored to welcome a speaker from the Polish Synapsis Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and driving positive change for neurodiverse individuals and their families. Our session highlighted the importance of neurodiversity and the rich, diverse ways in which people experience the world. While we only scratched the surface, this conversation underscored the significance of inclusivity in our workplace. “Opening discussion and embracing neurodiversity in the workplace fosters better understanding and communication. To succeed together, we must learn to communicate with empathy and kindness, appreciating the uniqueness each colleague brings.” - Ewa Łabuda, Senior Operations Manager But how do you understand neurodivergence? This week we’ve been partying with a purpose 🎉 Members of our Black Network and UK leadership team were proud to represent our business as sponsors at this year’s The Black British Business Awards. The Black British Business Awards were founded with a clear vision: for businesses in the UK to include Black people at all levels of decision-making in at least the proportion we are represented in Britain itself. Yasmin Thompson, Lead Internal Communications EMEA and Black Network member sums up why attending events like this is important for our colleagues. “Coming together in a safe space to network and celebrate Black excellence was both inspiring and empowering. Watching so many amazing Black business people collect their awards and share their experiences also encouraged me to take a moment to reflect upon my own achievements over the last few years.” #BlackBritishBusinessAwards #DEI #WeRadicallyInclude
