Last week, our Geislingen campus transformed into a magical winter wonderland as we hosted our Cozy Winterwonder Market. 🎄🌟 With festive decorations, delicious food and drinks, and special highlights like personalized Christmas ornaments, the market was the perfect setting to unwind and celebrate the end of the year together. Another highlight was the Christmas lunch in our canteen, where we were treated to a delicious festive menu. The artist Jo!Loop set the mood with his unique beats, creating an unforgettable musical experience. 🎶 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made these moments so special! Together, we created a memorable celebration to close out the year. At the end of November, our campus in Geislingen became a hub of exchange as 30 international guest professors from Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen (HfWU) joined us to celebrate HfWU’s 75th anniversary. 🎉 As part of the HfWU Family Days, Dr. Stefanie Leiterholt, General Manager of Groupe SEB WMF Shared Services GmbH, hosted a memorable day filled with fascinating insights and inspiring connections. The afternoon began with a guided tour of the impressive SEB Professional Experience Center, where attendees experienced the latest innovations in professional coffee machines and explored the brand worlds of WMF, Schaerer, and Curtis up close. Thanks to the expertise of Stefanie Sterzer, Global Product Trainer PCM, the guests explored the 700 sqm exhibition – a true highlight for technology and coffee enthusiasts! ☕ Another highlight was a journey through the history of WMF at the WMF Museum, led by Heinz Scheiffele, Head of the Historical Archive. The guests gained a captivating insight into the company’s roots in the 19th century and milestones in modern kitchen technology. It was a day full of inspiration and exchange. Our SEB-hosts, Bernd Stoeppel and Dr. Stefanie Leiterholt got things rolling with an energizing welcome. We were thrilled to learn from our special guests like former handball pro & fitness entrepreneur 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 “𝗠𝗶𝗺𝗶” 𝗞𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘀, fitness entrepreneur 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘂𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿 as well as Andreas Oettel, CEO of ratiopharm Ulm, who shared insights on balancing sports, fitness, and work. Thanks to Radio 7's top host 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸 "𝗚𝗲𝗯𝗶" 𝗚𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿, we even learned a secret or two from our guests. Our health & nutrition experts, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗹, Julia E., and 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻, also provided us with valuable information and personalized tips for a healthier lifestyle. To keep the positive energy up, we partnered with local experts like 𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, Donaucoach Cindy Luger, SC Staig e.V. and 𝗗𝗵𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗨𝗹𝗺, offering our employees a wide variety of free 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 throughout MOVEmber. From Jumping Fitness to Vinyasa Yoga and HYROX, there’s been something for everyone to try and enjoy! A huge congratulation to the winning team of our 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲, who collectively achieved an incredible 136,000 steps in one week! 👣 They’ve earned themselves five tickets to an upcoming game of the ratiopharm ulm basketball team – a well-deserved prize for their dedication. Our MOVEmber was wrapped up with an After(Net)Work event that brought our teams together one more time to celebrate everyone’s efforts. With great food, music, and a lively awards ceremony, it was a fantastic way to honor the achievements and team spirit that made this MOVEmber so memorable. Last Wednesday was a special day at the Geislingen Campus as we celebrated the ceremonial planting of our “Tree of Community” 🌳 As part of this year's summer festival the tree was placed in our courtyard, giving employees the opportunity to attach their wishes and suggestions for the future until the planting ceremony. As the evening continued, the event smoothly transitioned into a relaxed after-work gathering, where colleagues could unwind and connect in a more informal setting. It was the perfect way to end a day of celebration, allowing us to bond even further beyond the workplace. ✨ 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:     – 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: The managing directors and management representatives of the respective legal entities at the Geislingen location jointly planted the tree in the courtyard in front of the Millionenbau. – 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐞: A time capsule was buried, filled with a letter, some of the wishes and more. The remaining wishes will be transformed into a small piece of art by a diaconal institution over the next few weeks. – 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: At a champagne reception with catering and live music, many interesting conversations took place, fostering new ideas and future plans. Such events are more than just occasions to celebrate – they are precious moments of exchange, encounter and growing together. The freshly planted tree symbolizes the growth and the vibrant community that we experience here every day. On Tuesday evening a big portion of teamwork was on the menu! 🍽️ The new squad of FRISCH AUF! Göppingen was our guest and had the opportunity to get to know each other better outside of handball training while preparing a four-course meal together. During the preparation of the meal, everyone worked hand in hand, laughed a lot, and learned a great deal. With the assistance of our head of staff restaurant Markus Jüngert, a gazpacho, homemade porcini tagliatelle, roast beef from Salach water buffalo with sweet potato-celery purée, and for the grand finale, a vanilla blueberry parfait wrapped in a sponge cake, were created. The result, born of perfect teamwork, was of course enjoyed together in a cozy setting with good conversation. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with FRISCH AUF! We are thrilled to announce that our company restaurant at our Groupe SEB site in Geislingen has secured the second place in the "Responsibility" category at this year's FOCUS Canteen Test! 🏆   Since 2018, Food & Health e.V. has honored the 50 best staff restaurants in Germany in its annual Canteen Test in collaboration with FOCUS magazine. An eight-member jury evaluates the businesses against the excellence criteria of Responsibility, Health and Enjoyment as well as a special category that changes every year, which this year was “Communication”.   Achieving this prestigious award is no small feat. It is the result of daily dedication and hard work. Our team in Geislingen impressed the jury with its comprehensive concept and holistic implementation. This accomplishment reflects the commitment to quality and sustainability, inspiring our guests every day.
