Therapeutic proteins, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), bispecific antibodies (bsAbs), and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are all large complex molecules that require reliable in-depth binding characterization and robust concentration determination of active analyte or impurities such as host cell protein (HCP). On the other hand, screening and characterizing small drug molecules is equally important. Octet® instruments eliminate many of the common issues associated with detailed characterization of binding and functional activities. The platform leverages proprietary Bio Layer Interferometry (BLI) technology, which uses optical biosensors to measure molecular interactions in parallel, without the use of detection agents.
