Among them: ⚙️ SCOUT SCOUT is transforming WFP’s supply chain by using operational #AI to optimize global food sourcing and delivery planning. This innovative system reduces response times, prevents critical disruptions and ensures financial resources are maximized to deliver food to those in need. 🚀 Impact: US$2million in efficiency gains in 2024 🍲 Nilus Together with WFP, Nilus strengthens #SupplyChains by digitally tracing food purchases, streamlining procurement and improving cost efficiency. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator sources, supports, and scales high-impact innovations to disrupt hunger and address the sustainable development goals. Based in Munich, Germany, we provide WFP employees, entrepreneurs, and startups with funding, hands-on support and access to WFP’s global operations. Through the Innovation Accelerator, WFP is leveraging unprecedented advances in digital innovation—such as mobile technology, artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain—and new business models to transform the way we serve vulnerable communities across the world. Building on WFP’s legacy of innovation, the Innovation Accelerator was launched in 2015 to pilot new solutions and scale promising innovations to achieve Zero Hunger. Today, the Innovation Accelerator has grown to become one of the world's leading social impact startup accelerators. In 2023 the Innovation Accelerator is running 14 programmes addressing a wide range of social impact and sustainability issues, including climate change, primary healthcare, gender equality, and emergency response. In 2023 alone, its portfolio of over 150 innovations reached 60.7 million people worldwide.

With over five years of experience in knowledge management and government partnerships at the WFP’s Regional Bureau of Eastern Africa, she has honed her skills in managing communities of practice, knowledge packaging and sharing and facilitating learning. At the WFP Innovation Accelerator, Yvonne is spearheading the development and dissemination of knowledge management content, curating and sharing good practices. Our first-ever Acceleration Days, part of the Humanitarian Innovation Accelerator, brought our ventures to new heights. 🗻 We discussed scaling plans and how ventures can broaden, deepen and expand their impact. We found new ways to work together and engaged with the Dubai ecosystem, unlocking new paths for collaboration in the future.
