Founded by architect Dan Stubbergaard, Cobe creates future-proof urbanism, landscapes and architecture
Om os
Cobe creates architecture that shapes the future and aspires to create surroundings that actively contribute to extraordinary everyday life. Cobe was founded in 2006 by the architect Dan Stubbergaard. Today, the company is a bustling international environment of more than 150 dedicated professionals devoted to creating extraordinary cities, buildings and landscapes that make a difference in everyday life. We offer services within urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture and interior design. Every day we strive for extraordinary, long-lasting quality in the cities, buildings and landscapes we shape. Today, the building and construction sector account for 40% of the world’s CO₂ emissions. We know that any newly built neighbourhood, house or urban space requires a certain amount of our planet’s resources, and we have a profound responsibility to exchange these into resilient, long-term solutions – cities, buildings and landscapes that are made to outlast our generation.

We’re excited to see Nordhavn featured in The Guardian as a revolutionary example of urban transformation that’s setting new benchmarks for sustainable, walkable, and community-centric living. “This is what city-making looks like when you get everything right: human-scaled, pedestrian-friendly, architecturally diverse, environmentally standard-setting, lots of waterfront. A place people are happy to hang around, even on a chilly winter’s day” Read the full article in The Guardian via this link: https://ow.ly/nnLo50Up3ak

The Opera Park is on the cover of Danske Landskabsarkitekter's magazine, 'Landskab'. The six-page cover story features a thoughtful conversation between landscape architect at Cobe and editor, Christian Kamp Iversen, landscape architect Alberte Marie Danvig and landscape director Maj Wiwe. Both big and small design choices are discussed as well as thoughts on how the park design supports diversity and inclusion. The issue celebrates community gardens, and The Opera Park is highlighted as a park for everyone, with space for everyone. Order your copy here: https://ow.ly/RAfS50UkMUR

Introducing the Clever Café! Yesterday marked a milestone in expanding Denmark’s EV charging network with the opening of the very first Clever Café at Clever’s largest charging station in Aabenraa, Denmark, near the German border. Designed by Cobe, the café offers EV drivers and passengers a meaningful break with quality organic food and local products. Built with natural materials, as wood construction and clay floor as well as a wide range of plants and greens, the new Clever Café is an alternative to the noise, pollution, and fast food of traditional gas stations - recharging both your car and yourself. More cafés are planned for Kolding and Odense in 2025.

As part of Realdania’s 25th-anniversary initiative, Vores Sted (Our Place), 60 local associations across Denmark have now been allocated a pavilion to strengthen their local community. Out of 679 applications in the first round, these 60 pavilions, crafted from recycled and biogenic materials, are scheduled for construction in 2025. The project is a collaboration between Realdania, six design offices, including Cobe, ReVærk, pihlmann architects, Archival Studies, Rumgehør and Studio XYZ, along with technical advisors. Through joint workshops and a collaborative process in both design and community involvement, four basic pavilions with varied functionality and expression have been designed. We can't wait to see the 60 meeting places come to life and foster community across Denmark. Learn more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/dE6VVkkA
