Update on our Peckelsheim Repowering Project! A while ago, we shared a post about our repowering project in Peckelsheim and explained what the process would involve. You can check out that post here: https://lnkd.in/ebCJV_Z2 Now, we’re excited to take you through the real process as it unfolds. Today, we’re highlighting the decommissioning phase. After having received all necessary permits, two of the existing turbines have been decommissioned, making room for a new, larger 4.3 MW turbine that will be installed in the next phase. Stay tuned for the next update in our repowering series! #repowering #renewable #greenEnergy #wind #CopenhagenEnergy #CopenhagenEnergyTrading #CE #CET

Our 2024 Recap! The year is coming to an end, and with it, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what an eventful time it has been for the Copenhagen Energy Group. This year has been packed with highlights, and while we can’t list them all, we wanted to share a few with you. We participated in a range of incredible events, including Energiens Dag in Aarhus, Wind Europe in Hamburg, E-world energy & water in Essen and hosted the Forum Skills & Strategies for Success with BuhaWind Energy Philippines in Manila. Of course, social activities and team bonding were also an essential part of the year. We had the opportunity to travel to Sestriere for our ski trip and enjoy an amazing time in Barcelona. And we can't forget our trip to Australia and the Summer and Holiday Party! It has been a great year for the group, and we want to thank everyone who contributed to making it happen! Looking forward to an equally exciting 2025! #2024 #Recap #CopenhagenEnergy #CopenhagenEnergyTrading #CE #CET

CET 3-year Trading Anniversary! Exactly three years ago today, CET made its first ever trade! Since we started three years ago, we have traded a total of 10.3 TWh. This is almost as much as a third of Denmark's annual power consumption and could power the equivalent of 2.5 million Danish households for a year! We have successfully expanded and are now actively trading in 15 European markets, while also breaking into two new markets in the United States this year. We are very proud of the progress we have made and look forward to the future of CET. Here is to many more successful years! #Anniversary #3years #CopenhagenEnergyTrading #CET #CopenhagenEnergy #CE

Exciting developments for our German Storage Projects! Last week three of our storage projects in Germany achieved new milestones. The power of attorney was signed for several hectares of land, underlining development progress for our 400 MW project in Brandenburg. Three land lease agreements were signed, finalising the land acquisition for a 500 MW project in Lower Saxony. And last but certainly not least our 500 MW project in Eula, Saxony received city council approval to proceed with the drafting of a development plan. This marks a significant step in securing the necessary permits to move forward with the development. The collaboration with the city council has been very positive, and we look forward to working closely together moving forward. We are very excited about these developments, further strengthening our storage pipeline in Germany. #Storage #Germany #renewable #CopenhagenEnergy #CopenhagenEnergyTrading #CE #CET

We’re proud to be featured in this year’s Industry Report by the German Wind Energy Association (BWE). The report features the products and services of the leading companies in Germany's wind energy sector. The article offers an overview of Copenhagen Energy's history and highlights our achievements in the German market since our entry in 2023. We have made significant progress and are currently repowering our Peckelsheim wind project, while our pipeline of mature projects is increasing and totaling 3 GW storage and 224 MW wind and solar. It showcases well how we cover the entire value chain from the initial idea through land acquisition and development all the way to energy trading. This makes us unique by offering all technologies across these processes. We can definitely confirm this. Exciting that BloombergNEF sees it the same way.
𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬’ 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐍𝐄𝐅 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 The Department of Energy (DOE) welcomes the 2024 Climatescope Report by BloombergNEF, which ranks the Philippines as the 2nd most attractive emerging market for renewable energy investments. This milestone, marked by the rise from 4th place in 2023 and an impressive leap from 20th place in 2021, reflects the growing confidence of the global community in our country’s commitment to clean energy transition and sustainable growth. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the Philippines’ comprehensive renewable energy policies, which include auctions, net metering schemes, tax incentives, and an aggressive clean energy target of 35% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030. As the only emerging market in the Asia-Pacific region with all these mechanisms in place, we are paving the way for a more sustainable energy future, not only for our nation but as a model for the region. The journey, however, is far from over. With the peak demand growth assumptions of around 5.3 percent annually from 2024 to 2028, the need to further accelerate renewable energy development is still crucial to address the energy needs of the country’s expanding economy. Significantly, while most of the renewable energy investment is domestic, we look forward to realizing the potential of increased foreign participation through recent reforms that allow 100% foreign equity in renewable energy projects. These measures aim to unlock greater investments in solar, wind, and hydro projects, fortifying the Philippines as a prime destination for clean energy ventures. The Administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reaffirms its commitment to driving renewable energy development, fostering innovation, and creating an enabling environment for both local and international investors. The government will continue to harness the immense potential of the country’s natural resources to fuel inclusive economic growth and a greener, more sustainable future for the generations to come. This recognition inspires the DOE to further intensify its efforts in achieving our renewable energy goals, ensuring that our nation remains a global beacon of progress in the energy transition. ###
