It's been a while, but we can't skip sharing this with you! Although it’s the season of giving, we decided not to focus solely on one direction—we made sure to be on the receiving end too. The giving part was our participation in the Split Tech Cup cageball tournament, a charity event organised by Split Tech City. And the receiving part? Well, let’s just say we received a couple of goals! 😅 Better luck next year! But we can’t be too upset about the loss, especially since our combined efforts raised an incredible €4,800 for charity. A huge thank you to Split Tech City for organising this wonderful event for six years in a row and for being such a positive force of change in our community. Congratulations to Blank for claiming the trophy once again! But watch out—next year, the victory will be ours. Introducing our new DevOps engineer, Ante Mandić! 🚀 Ante earned his Master’s in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from FESB, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture at the University of Split. 🎓 Moving straight from university lectures to major projects, Ante started working as a software support engineer as soon as he graduated. Later, he joined Alma Media, a Finnish media company whose most well-known product in Croatia is MojPosao.hr, where Ante also shared his expertise. 💻 Ante is quite modest and describes himself as a regular guy who enjoys sports, spending time with friends, and travelling. ✈️ When he’s not exploring the world of Cloud computing, you’ll likely find him playing a game of Catan—a true showcase of his patience and dedication. 🎲 One thing is for sure: Ante is already a game-changer for our team, and we hope he won’t get ore-whelmed by all the hellos you’ll be sending his way! 🌟 #newhire #devops #newhirespotlight #welcometotheteam #companyculture #travelindustry

How We Went from Being Worriers to Warriors 🤺 Over the last couple of weeks, we attended workshops held by HalPet and their brilliant Mirela Vuletic, who guided us on managing our emotions, communicating effectively, and handling stress and worries at work. 💼 Mirela and we go way back and it was mutual love at first sight. She appreciated our service and promptness in dealing with customers (shoutout to Laura for setting the bar high! 🙌), while she inspired us with her energy and efficiency in providing us with tools we didn’t even know we needed. Even though we thought we had a solid grip on communication, we discovered there’s still so much to work on. 🤯 From understanding our emotions to identifying what truly matters, we gained valuable insights: what weights to leave at the door, what to focus on, and how to channel our energy towards what’s within our control. This workshop is just the beginning! We’re committed to strengthening our bond as a team and growing individually. After graduating, she gained valuable experience through several marketing internships before going on to work as a Marketing Coordinator at HR Cloud. All of this experience helped her develop skills in SEO, copywriting, content writing, and email marketing. Outside of work, Filomena loves to explore a new hobby each year. The common theme? Tomislav is already well acquainted with the travel industry, having started his career in a luxurious hotel chain and then working for more than 10 years as an Account Manager and a Key Account Manager for Booking.com and Travelist.pl. When COVID hit, Tomislav took a bold step to follow his passion: cooking. He spent a couple of years as a chef in prominent Zagreb restaurants—all with numbers in their names. Now, he’s back in the travel industry, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him cook up something special for us! One of our goals this year was to embrace a lot of testing, but with certain things—like team building—we’ve played it safe so far. We’re known for being kindred spirits who love to sit down, have a bite, enjoy a couple of cold ones, and simply share a laugh. However, this time we tried something new. At first, we were a bit sceptical about outdoor team building, and the fog around Dicmo didn’t help. Yet, it only took five minutes to change our minds, especially when we were greeted by a wagging tail. Things just got better from there! Between football with a giant ball and oversized shoes, airsoft duels, archery, paintball, and axe-throwing, we couldn’t decide which activity was the best. At least we discovered each other’s hidden talents, which might even come in handy during a zombie apocalypse. The setting was perfect: sun-bathed forests and meadows, birdsong, butterflies, horses, and dogs—all thanks to the careful organisation by Station10.hr. The barbecue was also a crucial part because, frankly, most of us are still highly motivated by food. Our teams fought bravely, but only one could come out on top. We still think it was a setup, as HR cleverly picked his own team, but we’ll let it slide since he organised the event and always has our best interests at heart. 🥇 Verdict: Testing will remain a top priority, as it’s proven to bring us great results. Despite having more than 15 years of experience in marketing, he started his career as a PHP developer. After transitioning to marketing, he quickly advanced to Head of E-commerce for strong brands such as FOREO and LELO. Long story short, we got ourselves an analyst with people skills! 🤭 His experience will undoubtedly help us take our marketing to the next level.
