Wrapping up 2024, our top highlights from the year! 🚀 Exciting collaborations, projects, deadlines, and wins! All to help clients drive global progress through #innovation in everything from #healthcare and #LifeSciences to #energy and #sustainability. To name a few, HoloCare secured a €8.9M #HorizonEurope #grant to transform how clinicians see and interact with #medical #images; Hyme secured €2.5M in #EUgrant and €15M in #EquityInvestment from the #eicAccelerator to redefine energy storage and consumption; and the Greater Copenhagen EU Office extended their successful #CopenVirk service, mobilising #SMEs from the Capital Region of Denmark and Zealand Region to engage in #international innovation activities, where Innovayt won the #tender and remains the lead #consultancy supplier. Thanks to clients and collaboration partners, as well as kudos to our team! 🔬 Staying in contact with clients and following up on funded projects to continuously learn and advance! For instance, we touched base with Prof. Wolf-Dieter Fessner and Project Manager Agapi Theodoridou at the Technische Universität Darmstadt about the CC-TOP Biocatalysis MSCA Research Program and Prof. Sandy Schmidt at the University of Groningen about the BiodeCCodiNNg Doctoral Network project, sharing key learnings from implementing #research #training and #doctoral #programmes with support from the #MSCA. For instance, collaborating with Aleap on different events for #health #startups; joining forces with Nordea at Startup Extreme and during Oslo Innovation Week; and discussing the future we want in a panel at the Nordic Fe:male Invest Summit by Minc. 👋 Meeting up with the vibrant innovation #community! #Networking at events such as the Energy Tech Summit, TechBBQ, Startuplab 2030, SWITCH Conference NO, and Slush, as well as gathering our colleagues for our yearly get-together to nurture our strong #team spirit. 🎉 Celebrating work anniversaries and promotions, as well as welcoming new colleagues and continuing our growth journey. Once again, it is a pleasure to have you all on our team! 🏢 Last but not least, moving offices in Denmark and Norway! In Denmark, we moved across town to the brand new Fuglebakken Science Park in Frederiksberg (part of the Symbion Community), as well as opened a satellite office at the BioInnovation Institute in Copenhagen. In Norway, we moved to the other building at Forskningsparken - Oslo Science Park. All three locations putting us in the midst of the innovation ecosystem. Looking forward to what 2025 will bring!

🗞️ Scandinavia is right at the top of the list of the 140 countries that have so far secured #EUfunding under #HorizonEurope, with Norway taking lead and breaking records! Counting from the start of 2021 until mid-October this year, Norges forskningsråd reports that Norwegian #researchers and #companies take 8th place among the 140 countries to receive the most #funding under #HorizonEU, ranking number one among the Scandinavian countries. In addition, when measured in #researcher FTEs, Norway is the country to have received the most EU funding. Shout-out to our Norwegian clients such as DoMore Diagnostics for securing €2.5M in #EUgrant from the #eicAccelerator programme to transform personalised #cancer treatment; HoloCare for securing a €8.9M Horizon Europe #grant to transform how clinicians see and interact with #medical #images; and Kitemill for securing a €2.5M #eicAccelerator grant to launch a disruptive #renewable #energy #technology. 📢 Horizon Europe, the flagship #EU Research and Innovation programme, runs from 2021 to 2027 with an ambitious budget of €95.5bn. 👋 Meet and greet Márcio Santos, who recently joined our Braga office as Innovation Consultant specialising in financial analysis! "Contributing to the field of innovation so that transformative ideas can be realised and change the world to the better" was Márcio’s reply when asked to pinpoint one of the main reasons for joining Innovayt. In his role, Márcio focuses primarily on developing financial models as well as ensuring that business cases adhere to the required methodologies, all to support successful grant applications and optimise the chances of securing funding for our clients. Márcio brings solid experiences in project finance consulting, project management, and investment banking. In addition, Márcio holds an MBA from Porto Business School and a MSc in Finance from Universidade do Minho. Márcio also participated in the Business Innovation International Programme at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. "Safe to say, it has been a rewarding start at Innovayt! So far, I have worked and collaborated on projects across diverse fields such as agriculture, healthcare, energy, and the green transition.
