Today MARS participates in the conference Autonomous Ships 2024 in Copenhagen on several levels - as delegates on the floor and on stage as well. Signe Jensen talked about the relevance of MARS as an independant intermediate between regulators and industry and Andjela Orlovic presented a feasability study of an autonomous bike ferry in the archipelago of South Funen. Wow, that was amazing ✨🤖🏸   Two weeks of elite sports and robotics in Odense. VICTOR Denmark Open was once again a unique event, both for the sport and for Odense as a city.   The following week, three major robotics conferences culminated in Odense with #WeekofRobotics.   Odense made its mark on the world map and was once again recognized as a hub for robotics in multiple ways:   💥 The Week of Robotics generated a tourism economic impact of over 19 million DKK 💥 The robotics ecosystem in Odense caught more than 2,5 millions impressions on social medias 💥 90% of the ROSCon guests are considering either working, doing business, or visiting Odense in the future 💥 Robots from Odense were streamed to 265 million households during the Victor Denmark Open 💥 More than 1,500 people participated in one of the three conferences during the Week of Robotics, 1,200 of whom were international attendees 💥 ROSCon and ICSR set a new attendance record 💥 Participants from +50 countries worldwide 💥 Extensive national and international media coverage highlighted Odense during the Denmark Open and the Week of Robotics 💥 Robots and city branding was showcased to all 20,825 Victor Denmark Open spectators 💥 385+ international robotics and AI companies engaged 💥 50+ companies engaged from the local robotics ecosystem   It was two weeks, filled with excitement and recognition of Odense as a hub for robotics and major events. Congratulations to Clionadh Martin, Founder & CTO of coalescent mobile robotics, on winning the Nordic Women in Tech Awards' Entrepreneur of the Year! 🏆✨ The award ceremony, celebrating the achievements of women in the tech industry and promoting diversity in the field, took place earlier this week in Oslo, Norway. This initiative was founded by the non-profit organisation WonderCoders and is organised in collaboration with WomenTechIceland and Women in Tech Norway. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐡’𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡: "🦾 Developed the first two mobile robots for Coalescent Mobile Robotics, which led to the creation of Serena, the industry-leading robot for retail operations. 🦾 Oversaw the development of a fleet management system responsible for task scheduling for her robots. 🦾 Salling Group, Denmark’s largest retailer, is now deploying 10 mobile robots in Bilka hypermarkets to assist with Click & Collect services. 🦾 Clio’s robots are making their mark beyond Denmark, set to be used in airports and grocery stores across Europe. 🌍 ⭐ High5Girls: Clio is an advocate for encouraging girls to pursue STEM careers. As a role model, she shares her knowledge and experiences in robotics engineering, inspiring young girls to see the possibilities in this field. ⭐ CoderDojo: Clio also founded the Leicester-based CoderDojo, part of a global initiative providing free coding clubs for young people aged 7-17. The programme focuses on coding, website development, app creation, and game development in a fun, creative, and supportive environment. ⭐ Coalescent Mobile Robotics promotes an inclusive workplace with a team representing 14 nationalities and an above-average number of women in both tech and business roles."
