Key Highlights from 2024: ✅ Emission Reductions By the end of this year, we have facilitated reduction opportunities totalling 1,000,000 MT of CO2, strengthening our clients’ decarbonisation efforts. ⚙️ Technology Installations We surpassed 200 installations, delivering tangible results for maritime efficiency. 🌟 Launch of the Njord Score The Njord Score was introduced as a first-of-its-kind benchmarking tool, helping owners and charterers align energy efficiency technologies with financial feasibility. 🧰 Technology Portfolio Growth Our offering now includes 40+ energy efficiency technologies, including innovative pilots of cutting-edge solutions. 🚢 Vessels Enhanced We’ve supported over 500 vessels, assessing, designing, and installing tailored energy efficiency packages. 🌬️ Scaling Wind Installations We led one of the largest Wind Assisted Propulsion projects in the industry, installing 20 sails across 5 vessels. 📈 Ensuring Technology Performance The Njord Performance service now supports multiple fleets, providing live performance assessments across diverse technologies. 🎤 Industry Engagement Our events, from LinkedIn Live sessions to regional gatherings, brought together over 5,000 participants, driving meaningful discussions that inspire industry action.   • This December, our Vessel of the Month series highlights how combining traditional solutions with innovative technologies like Wind Assisted Propulsion (WAPS) drives cost-effective and impactful progress in maritime sustainability. This month, we feature a 2015-built tanker constructed at SUNGDONG S.B. & MARINE ENG'G CO., LTD. Through Njord’s Solution Design, the vessel integrates eight energy-saving technologies, including WAPS. The results are significant: a 19.4% reduction in fuel consumption, a CII improvement from C to A, and compliance with EEXI standards. Estimated annual EU ETS savings amount to more than $100,000. With a CAPEX of $3.037M and an ROI of 3.78 years, this project demonstrates the tangible benefits of adopting tailored, energy-efficient solutions to enhance vessel performance.

    Fleet Manager at Hayfin Marine Team

    It was once again a fascinating experience to visit one of our recently purchased cape size bulk carriers, GH Ostria, while she was docked at Zhoushan CIMC Changhong Shipyard in China. It was a great pleasure to meet Captain Kostyantyn, Chief Engineer Oleg, and their highly motivated and dedicated team onboard, bringing the faces to the names. GH Ostria has successfully completed her renewal surveys and essential maintenance, alongside implementing various energy efficiency measures as well as initiatives focused on crew welfare. These efforts align with the ESG targets set by Nikos Benetis , our Technical Director and ESG Lead, under his leadership we are committed to the continuous improvement of our assets for a more sustainable and greener shipping industry. Special thanks to V.Group , vessel’s technical managers, for their expert guidance; to Njord for providing tailored solutions and their ongoing support; and International marine coatings for going above and beyond on this project, delivering outstanding results. This integration results in an 8.7% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions, contributing to an upgraded CII rating from E to D - an improvement projected to hold steady if operational patterns persist. With an ROI of only 2.6 years, this project underscores the tangible benefits of energy-saving investments.
