USTC takes on further ownership over CM Biomass Since 2021 when USTC first acquired a majority share in CM Biomass, it was based on a clear strategy of increasing USTC’s shares in the company in the years to come 🪴 Today, we are happy to announce that USTC is taking a leap forward in acquiring an additional 22 percent of shares, bringing the total USTC ownership of CM Biomass up to 89 percent ✨ “When USTC acquired the majority shares of CM Biomass in 2021, it was because we saw a strong business case and a tremendous synergy potential with the rest of the USTC Group. Since then, CM Biomass has continued to show strong performance, and we have been able to profit from the synergies within the Group, especially regarding logistics and risk management,” says Nina Østergaard Borris, CEO and co-owner of USTC. The change in owner shares will not affect or change the strategic direction or priorities of CM Biomass going forward 💪 For further reading: https://lnkd.in/dUVXhjzc

Earlier this month, Anne Dalager, Morten Bording and Peder J. Pedersen celebrated their 10th anniversary working at Unit IT. 🎉 🌟Anne Dalager – Operations Consultant🌟 Anne began her career in the IT industry somewhat by chance when she had the opportunity to work with a new data catalog. This chance opened the door to a passion for IT, and she embarked on her journey as an IT supporter. After 10 years with Unit-IT as an operations consultant, she continues to find her work interesting with a variety of challenges. She is still working in the same team she joined in 2014, which she greatly values, as their collaboration is seamless, and they share a strong, common work rhythm. As a woman in a predominantly male-dominated IT world, Anne has had to navigate her own path. 🌟Peder Pedersen – Operations Consultant🌟 As an operations consultant, Peder J. Pedersen ensures the ongoing maintenance of systems and makes sure that customers receive a secure setup. With an education as a data mechanic, he is able to assist with continuous maintenance and updated systems, such as the issue with an antivirus product that affected the many companies in the world this summer. He managed to get the systems running again before lunch. Reflecting on his career, he considers overcoming challenges and discovering creative solutions along the way to be among his most rewarding experiences. 🌟Morten Bording – Operations Consultant🌟 When Morten Bording first joined Unit-IT, 10 years ago, he was a full-time consultant. His role has evolved since and now he sits in a service team where he works with outsourcing. One of the reasons for his job satisfaction is the way Unit IT looks at flexibility, which has helped him a lot during his first years as a father. Reflecting on his career, one of his key motivations is seeing that the framework they developed 9 years ago is still operational and remains fundamental to the business. He takes pride in being part of Unit IT and growing with the company, especially since Unit IT fosters a strong culture of camaraderie, where colleagues support each other across various locations. This supportive environment is something he values deeply. We are glad to have you all onboard. Sincere congratulations! 🎉

We take pride in in supporting flexibility for our employees, as it improves the quality of both work and personal life. For instance, flexibility makes it possible to; 🌟 Excel in a career and navigate a personal life🌟 Alexander A. Jaffe, Chief Human Resources Officer at USTC, has been part of the Group for 10 years. During his long career, he has always cherished the support he has been given by Management in terms of flexibility. From a very early age his son was diagnosed with autism along with a very rare chromosomal disorder, which at the time was totally unknown to the Danish Health system. 🧩 “Being open about my private life, especially regarding my son’s special needs and the possibility for flexibility has been mirrored by the whole organization and management,” says Alexander A. Jaffe. 💼💪 “The underlying psychological contract when working flexibly, builds on trust and loyalty, however you still have to perform to expectations and deliver the work, the hours, and the results required. And with that trust, I can assure you, you feel motivated to go above and beyond mere expectations, at least that´s how it works for me,” says Alexander A. Jaffe. 🤝 When we go to work, we bring our whole selves, what enables one person to succeed might not be the same for another, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. “For me having a career is not a sprint – it is a marathon – just like everything else in life. Over time, we learn to navigate our challenges, and a supportive manager helps us grow and thrive. Being encouraging and supportive is both motivating and a necessary part of good leadership. This approach contributes to our overall goal of attracting, developing, and retaining talent,” says Alexander A. Jaffe. 🌍

We recently completed our annual employee engagement survey, and we’re very satisfied with the results. We are happy to see that many of our employees participated, sharing valuable feedback that highlights both areas for improvement and the strengths we already have. 📊 The survey has made it possible to highlight areas where we can improve while also acknowledging the organisation’s strengths. With a response rate of 86%, we have a good basis for working with the results in the coming year. 🔍 This year, we added new questions to measure different aspects of engagement, related to inclusion and the culture at USTC. The positive feedback we got reflects our core values of decency, leadership, and business acumen, demonstrating how strongly these principles continue to resonate in our daily work. 💡 Reflecting on the new questions related to inclusion, Alexander A. Jaffe, Chief HR Officer at USTC, says: “By adding the questions regarding inclusion in this year’s employer survey, we have the opportunity to better understand the diverse experiences our employees have. While the results indicate a slight decline, they also show that USTC is still a place where employees feel a sense of belonging, regardless of their background and individual perspectives.” Even with the challenges we’ve faced this year, these results highlight that USTC continues to strive to be a great place to work. ✨ #weareUSTC #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeWellbeing

We are excited to welcome RaceGroup DK to the Selected Car Group family, offering unique motorsport experiences and supporting Danish racing talent. With a series of trusted partners on board, we’re ready for a high-speed future! #SelectedCarGroup #RaceGroup #BusinessGrowth

We take pride in making flexible work hours for our employees, as it improves the quality of both work and personal life. For instance, flexibility makes it possible to; 🌟Balance work and family life.🌟 Finding a balance between work and family life can be challenging, but with the flexible working hours, Simon Dam, a security consultant at Unit IT, is able to manage both successfully. With five children, his calendar is filled with school events and occasional unexpected incidents. According to Simon, the possibility of working flexibly provides some security and peace of mind, which has a positive impact on his family life, because he can be a father who is content and happy, meanwhile, it also affects his work life with increased satisfaction.💼😊 "I work flexibly when it makes sense. It is not something I consciously plan – and that is actually the advantage of it, in my opinion. It gives me a great deal of peace of mind. Especially when you have a large family with five children, and sometimes need to leave a little earlier," Simon explains, adding that this advantage is invaluable to both him and his family. The values and culture at Unit IT foster a strong sense of unity among colleagues, creating an environment where flexible work hours are accepted and individual needs are understood, ultimately enhancing teamwork and driving efficiency to achieve exceptional results.🤝

🌟USTC moves up on list of the most attractive employers in Denmark 🌟 USTC has climbed 17 spots on Universum’s annual list of Denmark’s most attractive employers among professionals. On the same list last year, USTC was ranked 105th most attractive employer and this year we have jumped to 88th 📈 “Moving up 17 places is a testament to the entire USTC conglomerate as a great place to work. We value every employee and this achievement reflects our commitment to creating a dynamic and attractive workplace," says Alexander A. Jaffe, Chief Human Resources Officer at USTC. The survey gathered responses from over 9,700 professionals across 48 different industries to compile a list of the most attractive employers. At USTC we are both humbled and honoured to be considered as one of Denmark’s most attractive employers. Earlier this year, a similar analysis was published with answers from more than 13,000 students. USTC retains 6th spot on prestigious list among Denmark’s largest companies 🌟 Every year the Danish newspaper Børsen compiles a list of the 1000 largest companies in Denmark by revenue. USTC and Selfinvest have jointly retained 6th place this year after presenting a revenue of 117 billion DKK. Following a financial year with unforeseen incidents, it is a testament to our values and dedication from our employees that the USTC Group is still able to perform and create results on the highest level. We are both humbled and honoured to be featured on the list, which we could not have achieved without the dedication of our subsidiaries. #weareUSTC #BørsenTop1000 #Leadership

We are very pleased to announce that USTC has established the “Fjord Foundation for the Restoration of Danish Fjords” with an initial contribution of DKK 50 million. 💧🐟🌿 Since January, USTC has been working on establishing a foundation to support climate change adaptation, nature restoration, and other projects with a positive impact on the environment. To find the right model that can deliver rapid and maximum impact for the benefit of nature and the environment, a working group under USTC has worked intensively and been in close dialogue with various stakeholders, including Dansk Industri. During this process, it was decided to support efforts to improve the water environment in Danish fjords, which are in a critical state. “We have chosen to establish a foundation focusing on the 20 fjords in Denmark identified as urgent action areas, as this is where we can genuinely make a difference to restore the balance in the Danish fjords, which are in serious need of action. The fact that the fjords are also defined in the green tripartite agreement underscores the importance of this area of focus,” says Mia Østergaard Rechnitzer, Chief Governance Officer and co-owner of USTC. The newly appointed board of the foundation consists of Kim Haggren, Deputy Director of Business Law at Dansk Industri, Louise Celia Korpela, Partner at Gorrissen Federspiel, and Mads Leth, CEO of Vandcenter Syd and Chairman of the Board of the foundation. More information about the foundation and application submissions can be found on the foundation's website: www.fjordfonden.dk. The first expected distribution will take place on March 1, 2025.
