Train derailment mishap averted in Kanpur, LPG cylinder found on railway tracks
A major train derailment averted in Kanpur once again after an LPG cylinder was found on tracks near Prempur station on September 22. Unidentified miscreants conspired a derailment by putting a 5 lit cylinder on the tracks aiming major disaster. Meanwhile, the loco pilot applied emergency brakes after spotting the cylinder and informed about the incident to administration. Following the input, Railway IOW, security forces and other teams checked the cylinder and removed it from the track. CPRO North Central Railway has initiated an investigation into this incident. This averted accident can be marked as the fourth attempt of a railway conspiracy in September following the plot to derail Kalindi Express on Sept 08
