Julkaisimme tiistaina Petäjäveden vanhan kirkon ja sen saarnastuolin 3D-mallit. Malli on huipputarkka, ja myös sen kuvaaminen oli tarkka operaatio. Valokuvia otettiin yli seitsemäntuhatta, ja yksittäisiä laserkeilauksia melkein kuusisataa. Aineiston tukipisteistä tarkistettu tarkkuus on 1-5 mm. Kirkko digitoitiin kenttätöissä syyskuussa 2023 kolmiulotteisesti kauttaaltaan, alapohja ja sisäkaton rakenteet mukaan lukien, fotogrammetrisesti ja laserkeilaamalla. Tartu Old Observatory is a building of considerable historical importance, which has played an important role in Estonian scientific research in astronomy, and where the top scientist in the field, F. G. W. Struve, worked in the years 1820-1839. Tartu Old Observatory was built directly on the territory of the former bishop's castle in 1808-1810. The building was designed by J. W. Krause in collaboration with university researchers, taking as a model the plans of the Gotha, Göttingen and Uppsala observatories. Under the leadership of Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von Struve, the measurement of the meridian arc took place between 1816 and 1855, the purpose of which was to determine the shape and size of the globe. The Meridian Arc (Struve Geodetic Arc) has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The building houses the Fraunhofer refractor built in 1824, which was the largest and most powerful telescope of its time, also known as the Great Dorpat Refractor, which was the largest refracting telescope at the time and was constructed in 1824.
