Today 20 December marks 1️⃣ year since the launch of the #TallinnMechanism, a cyber support platform for #Ukraine established by Estonia and Ukraine’s allies. Over one year, donors worked together to accumulate €200 million to support Ukraine’s resilience in #cyberspace. 👏 Yesterday’s cyberattack against Ukraine’s state registers is another testament to Russia’s malign cyber activities, and our goal is to do everything we can to contribute to Ukraine’s #cyber resilience. The work of the member states Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States and observers European Union and NATO of the Tallinn Mechanism serve as an excellent example of how we can achieve more by working together. 👥 Read also the joint statement ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/g8CWkgud Tanel Sepp Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV)

Yesterday, Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association introduced their cutting-edge defence and dual-use solutions to both international and Estonian journalists attending the Joint Expeditionary Force - JEF Summit. A total of 32 Estonian defence companies showcased their innovative services and products at the event organized by the Riigikantselei / Government Office of Estonia. Special thanks to BLRT Grupp for hosting this gathering! It is remarkable to see the Estonian defence industry's growth in these turbulent times.
As part of the Joint Expeditionary Force Leaders' Summit held in Tallinn, foreign journalists also visited Estonian defense industry companies. During the demo day held at the BLRT shipyard, journalists representing various European media outlets were given an overview of the Estonian defense industry and its specificities compared to other countries. Local companies also had the opportunity to demonstrate their products, developed technology and broader action plans to media representatives. It is hoped that the contacts made at the event will give many companies the opportunity to introduce their products to completely new markets.

It was a great pleasure to collaborate with EIS and AmCham Estonia to jointly organize a very successful US Market Day. What a fantastic turnout and excellent speakers! A big thank you to the companies for sharing their experiences, and to the 120+ participants for attending, contributing to the discussions, and networking. Together with the Embassy of Estonia in Washington and EIS, we have an array of exciting activities planned for 2025, including trade missions, seminars, and events at the #EstonianBusinessHub. Stay tuned!
What a day! The USA market seminar brought together Estonian entrepreneurs, experts, and plenty of good vibes to explore the ins and outs of expanding to the U.S. 🇺🇸 Thanks to our partners from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia & AmCham Estonia, we had great sessions throughout the day to share our insights to one of the biggest export markets in the world. If you missed this hugely popular event, here are some hightlights from our presenters: 🌎 Interest in the U.S. market is booming! Piret Sauter (Enterprise Estonia): “This year, 160 companies have contacted us with export enquiries, 70 of which have contacted us for the first time.” 🕰️ Patience is key when entering the U.S. market—it’s a long game. Silve Parviainen (Enterprise Estonia): "When we talk about the USA market, we talk about the global market. The competition is global. Everybody wants to be there. You need to pay attention to your competitors globally." 🤝 Networking is important to find your starting point. Jakob Saks (co-founder of Rabaconda): "The place to start would be to join AmCham Estonia. There is so much knowledge around there. And true—talk to people, and you will get those contacts. Silve has a lot of contacts, and the ministry has a lot of contacts." We had a fair share of lessons learned from the market: 📲 Märt Kroodo (founder and CEO of 1oT): "Having a local person in the market is essential; operating remotely can be difficult. Even time zone-wise, dealing with topics is challenging, especially late at night due to time zone differences." 🥧 Michael Burich (founder & creative director at Maison Beast): "You don´t need to look at this giant pie (the US market) and have the whole pie. Having a small percentage of that massive pie is better than having a whole pie of nothing." And lastly, don't forget to have fun, as Michael Burich reminded us - "Experiment, go crazy. If there’s anywhere you can express your creativity and let your inner child run free, it’s the U.S. market." Many thanks to everyone who joined us on the stage, including Arvo Anton (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia), Endrus Arge (Silen), Aleksander Lamvol (Buckthorn), Xenia Joost (Haage). 🤝 📩 If you want to know more about US opportunities for your company, contact us through our webpage https://lnkd.in/dficUT54 or directly with our export advisor to the US market Silve Parviainen & stay tuned for more events! #tradewithestonia #exportmarkets #usmarket #usexport #casestudies

As the end of the year approaches, it's time to look back and plan ahead. On December 4th, Estonian Ambassador Viljar Lubi hosted the Honorary Consuls’ annual meeting at the Embassy of Estonia in London 🇬🇧, where the Honorary Consuls were greeted by Liisa Pakosta, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs. Today, on December 5th, Estonian Ambassador Toomas Lukk hosted the Honorary Consuls' meeting at the Embassy in Stockholm 🇸🇪. During both meetings, current political affairs, situation in Ukraine 🇺🇦, and Estonia’s priorities in defense were discussed. Those vital topics initiated a number of questions and reflections by all the participants. Cultural and media issues were presented as well, and impressions of the various literary, musical and art events were shared. The main focus of the seminars was, however, on the business affairs. It is inspiring to see the dedication of our Honorary Consuls in supporting economic cooperation, assistance for enterprises looking for new export markets and business opportunities, and commitment in performing consular activities. A heartfelt thank you to all the 🇪🇪 Honorary Consuls for your invaluable contributions and dedication. Your efforts are instrumental in strengthening our relations and promoting Estonia's interests abroad. Embassy of Estonia in Stockholm Embassy of Estonia in London
