🌍 Estonia: A hub for global innovation in defence and dual-use technologies! We are proud to announce that seven cutting-edge companies have been chosen to join the NATO DIANA Estonian accelerator, including two remarkable local innovators, marking an exciting new chapter in dual-use innovation. More than 2600 companies applied to be part of the second year of the programme. Out of those, just over 70 were chosen spanning 13 accelerator sites throughout the Alliance. Telearmy’s innovative teledriving technology, in use on the Ukrainian frontlines, retrofits existing vehicles to enable long-distance remote operations via Starlink and radiolink for advanced military applications. Wayren develops a platform for uninterrupted communication in critical environments, eliminating life-threatening delays both on battlefields and within remote industries. Supported by the expertise of Tehnopol Startup Incubator and Sparkup Tartu Science Park, these teams will benefit from €100,000 in initial funding, access to a vast international network, cutting-edge testing centres, and mentorship opportunities. This milestone highlights Estonia’s strong position as a centre of innovation, with Tehnopol leading the way in supporting startups that aim to transform the world. #NATODIANA NATO DIANA

🌍 Tehnopol is part of the Northbound Scaleups (NBSCALE) project, designed to help companies expand to new markets. One of the participating companies, Raw Edge, recently explored opportunities in the UK to broaden its target markets. Raw Edge is a science-driven foodtech company that valorizes local biological resources, such as non-retail-grade vegetables. Using an innovative fermentation technology, they extend the shelf life of raw materials, enhance nutritional value, and create delicious, healthy products. Yesterday, Tehnopol Startup Incubator and Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN) hosted an exclusive Demo Day, bringing together top-tier investors and emerging startups with significant growth potential. 🌟 The event kicked off with a thought-provoking panel discussion, "The Capital Glut: Why Investors Are Struggling to Find the Next Big Thing," featuring Kaari Kink, Andrus Oks, and Mait Sooaru, and moderated by Tarmo Virki.   Few takeaways from the panel: 💡 The investment environment has shifted back to its traditional dynamic, with startups lining up for investors, not the other way around. 💡 Valuations have dropped, creating a golden opportunity for investors to make their move.
