🚨#Agroecology #job opportunity in Germany The newly established group of Agro-Ecological Modeling is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher. The group is led by Professor Anna Cord, and is based at The University of Bonn, Germany. This is a full time-time position, with a duration of 3 years (+3, upon positive evaluation). The selected candidate will develop their own #research agenda within the framework of our research group, and will teach and mentor students in BSc and MSc programs. The candidate will use novel technologies for #biodiversity monitoring and modeling, particularly passive acoustics. These technologies, combined with AI, will then be used to study habitat selection, occupancy, and species interactions in agroecosystems. This research will be enabled by several long-term research farms affiliated to, and managed by, the University of Bonn, as by monitoring activities at other sites and locations in Germany and Sweden. 🌱 AGROSUS at #CONAMA2024🌱 We were happy to participate in the 17th Spanish National Environmental Congress in Madrid, held from December 2nd to 5th. This prestigious event gathers key stakeholders from across the environmental sector to discuss #SustainabilityChallenges and opportunities. 🌱 On December 3rd, our partner researcher at Universidade de Vigo, David López González, represented #AGROSUS at this congress, His presentation covered the project's objectives, methodology and current results. 🌿 This was an incredible opportunity  to engage with the Spanish community and to showcase the latest #Innovations in #Agroecology and #Sustainability. AGROSUS celebrates World Soil Day at "Suelos Vivos” ! 🌍🌱 AGROSUS joined “Suelos Vivos”, an event organized by FEUGA. Fundación Empresa Universidad Gallega in honour of the #WorldSoilDay. The event brought together over 50 participants all committed to raise awareness about sustainable #SoilManagement. 🌱 Adela M Sánchez Moreiras, our project coordinator and researcher of Universidade de Vigo, participated in a roundtable, presenting the purpose, objectives and latest results of AGROSUS with a special focus on the project’s innovative practices in #SoilHealth. 🌿AGROSUS was also happy to participate in the #SoilHubFair, a unique networking opportunity to exchange ideas and build new synergies. At our own stand, we showcased our Weeds Database, while also joining other posters, stands, flash talks, and webinars to share solutions for a more #SustainableFuture.
