SoulFood Friday Dave is sharing another moment of SoulFood to Wahoo Fitness whose team went out of their way over Christmas with their service. Have you received any magical service recently? If so what was it and who? Share it with us or with your network. SoulFood is a tool to help us spend time catching people doing things right- Ken Blanchard It only takes a moment to notice it. And another to say it. Or another to write it down, and then give it!
Leadership Coach & Co-founder of and. I help leaders cut through the noise, shift from reactive to intentional leadership, and drive real impact. It’s about clarity, purpose, and action – real leadership, no fluff.
SoulFood Friday This is SoulFood Friday- where I share something or someone that has gone out of their way positively. Using SoulFood GPS: Wahoo Fitness Many years ago in a workshop being run by Dave Evans (aka Me) about leadership and teaching mindset tools and techniques- star date 2005. When we first coached the wheel of your life; 🎛️ 6 areas: wealth | work | health | relationships | contribution | hobbies I would always struggle with hobbies, work would always dominate my time or family commitments. It was made worse too, by the fact my work is also my purpose. The perfect excuse to under cook the hobby space. Each year I would work at it and it would improve 1% at a time. Then….. and many years later…. ‘Like a movie note’ - Jan 10 2025… I am doing much better and it from this space I would like to thank the Wahoo support team, who have delivered exceptional service in December. 🚲This may come as a total surprise, I love cycling. 🚲 I also enjoy climbing. That means in my hobby space I am blessed to own a wahoo kikr bike. And I ride Rouvy - allows me to ride climbs in Mallorca on my TV from Scotland. In December my left pedal arm came off because it seemed I lost the bolt that sits in the middle of it- don’t know where that went. I cycled it off! December 19th ish. Yet: Wahoo Fitness took care of things and when when the delivery went missing in action - somehow they got it to me by the 27th of December. The way they went out of their way to ensure I was able to keep doing my hobby was exquisite - thank you Guy and the whole support team, who really do look after your brand really well. Who has stood out to you this week and have you thanked them with SoulFood? Remember: 💡Genuine: be genuine and sincere. 💡Positive: say it in a positive way. 💡Specific: mark out the specifics P.S. If you want to know more about SoulFood get in or you can read about it in the book - The Framework. See below.

Our co-founder Debbie ask us a great question and has some fun with a metaphor, what do you think?
Do you firefight every day? I love a good metaphor, and as I am staying stubbornly in hibernation mode (its winter in the Scottish Highlands, a warming fire is so appealing.) Firefighting is not the flames that are the problem. It’s that you’re stuck in reaction mode. Think about it. Another email lands. A client wants something yesterday. Your team is chasing their tails. The problem with firefighting our bodies and minds react defensively. The language itself, fights, fixes, and emergencies all create stress, anxiety, and panic mode, which is not the best start for anyone. And you? You’re doing what you’ve always done. Fix it fast. Move on. Repeat. That constant firefighting might get things done, but it’s also keeping you stuck. You can’t see the bigger picture when you’re always rushing to put out fires. What if the fire isn’t the problem? What if it’s your opportunity to pause, reflect, and actually grow? Challenges, like fires, can offer more than destruction. Fires can warm, nurture, and renew. They can clear space for new growth. Fires clear deadwood. Fires nurture the ground. Fires make space. Fires spark something new. But only if you stop reacting long enough to learn from them. So ask yourself, What is this fire trying to tell me? What have I been avoiding? How can I respond differently next time? Because real leadership isn’t about rushing to fix things. It’s about learning to sit with the fire. To see the challenge, not just the urgency. And to work through it, not around it. If 2025 is going to be different, stop firefighting. Start thriving. We’ve got the tools to help you make that shift. and. coaching. It’s what we do. Ready to talk? Sit with me. Let’s sit with the fire. Oh, and if you do want to chat face to face by the fire, we are leaving the Scottish Highlands for a jolly jaunt and visiting the big smoke in London town Sunday-Wednesday next week. Maybe see you there? If you are free, come sit with us.

Its a must listen especially as we are talking to clients who are "feeling" it already... heres an answer to the January blah Debbie Halls-Evans Dave Evans CEnergistO
Leadership Coach & Co-founder of and. I help leaders cut through the noise, shift from reactive to intentional leadership, and drive real impact. It’s about clarity, purpose, and action – real leadership, no fluff.
Have you fallen into the January trap already? January is a time of fresh starts, big plans... overwhelming inboxes, relentless meetings, and that creeping sense of "how will I keep up?" Yada yada blah blah Just been reminded of this from a client session this afternoon. We reminded him about our global gathering in 2024 at Mallorca, which he was at, and I challenged him to see if he could flip the script. What if we could "Work Backwards" and reclaim control of your time, energy, and focus? In our recent Double D Do Business episode, we sat down with the incredible Tim Duggan, author of Work Backwards. https://lnkd.in/edkBx6Ab He challenges the "bullsh*t of work-life balance," unpacks why 20% meaning at work is enough, and shares actionable ways to break free from the busy trap. Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll take away ✅ How to use calendar bankruptcy to declutter your schedule (goodbye, pointless meetings!). ✅ The "20% rule" for finding meaning at work without overhauling your career. ✅ Why experimenting with small changes like a shorter workday can lead to transformative results. ✅ And the BIG question: What is enough? 🎧 Listen now to learn how to design your work and life intentionally in 2024 👉 https://lnkd.in/edkBx6Ab Let’s start your year differently. Not with overwhelming feelings but with clarity, simplicity, and purpose. Calendar bankruptcy: Declaring a fresh start for your schedule and rebuilding it intentionally. 20% meaning rule: To stave off burnout, only 20% of your time at work needs to feel meaningful. Experiments over big risks: Treat life changes like experiments instead of giant, scary commitments. The Bullsh*t of work-life balance: Flip the language life should come first. What is enough? Regularly ask yourself what success and satisfaction look like for you. Let me know if you’re ready to take back your time and define "enough" for yourself in 2024. Share your thoughts below ⬇️ or hit play on the episode https://lnkd.in/edkBx6Ab BIG P.S. Tim Duggan is in London sharing his book- check it out here Tickets are £10 (or free for x+why members) and include a delicious lunch or breakfast. The events are intentionally intimate - reserve your spot here: https://lnkd.in/dqG4kuw7

Our co-founder Debbie had a rant! We love it, heed the warning first!
DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED I have a potty mouth. I do not hide said potty mouth. I ask permission when I choose to share my potty mouth, as I do not know how others respond. I wrote something. It's got some potty-mouth language in it. Read it knowing that I swear in it and am very direct. https://lnkd.in/eGGbSDyR I am not asking for your forgiveness. I am also not giving an apology. You choose whether you want to read it or not. If you do, please don't complain afterwards.
