🤔 Why you need a theory of change? A Theory of Change is crucial for organizations, providing a clear path from current realities to envisioned futures. It outlines causal steps and linkages, aligning vision with actionable steps to ensure sustainable impact. "A Theory of Change explicitly outlines how you plan to move from the present reality to the future you imagine. It is a set of causal relationships that details the steps and linkages you believe will bring about meaningful, lasting change. It helps align your vision with actionable steps, ensuring that efforts lead to meaningful and sustainable outcomes. When building or growing an organization, a Theory of Change becomes all the more important to envision not only your impact but also the short and long-term consequences of your organization’s actions and how they affect the system as a whole." 🌱 Introducing the European Mission: A Soil Deal for Europe Healthy soils are vital for sustaining our planet and society. Yet, 60-70% of Europe’s soils face degradation, impacting ecosystem services, accelerating climate challenges, and causing significant economic and environmental consequences. The Soil Deal for Europe aims to reverse this trend by 2030 through: ✔️ 100 living labs and lighthouses to lead the transition. ✔️ Ambitious research, innovation, and soil restoration measures. ✔️ Enhanced soil literacy and societal engagement. 🌱 On #WorldSoilDay, discover how conservation agriculture delivers tangible benefits for both farmers and ecosystems. The Agricultural Value Chains team at South Pole is working to bring farming systems into harmony with nature. South Pole’s agricultural experts visited a pioneering farm in France to observe regenerative farming practices in action. The visit highlighted the tangible benefits of conservation agriculture for ecosystems and farmers alike. Situated approximately 100 km from Paris, a 170-ha family farm run by Julien and Géraud has been passed down through generations. Although it didn’t always employ regenerative methods, the farm now champions cover cropping and agroforestry practices. These techniques demonstrate the potential to improve soil health and support a more sustainable agricultural future. 📍Read the full article by Giulia Chivée and Adrien Mies and find out more https://lnkd.in/d3CVWC66
