The 2024 OCEANMAN World Championship Finals in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a wrap and what a success it was! With over 2,000 swimmers coming from all over the world to share their passion for swimming and to compete for the crown in the 500m (Juniors), 2km, 5km and 10km distances We are proud to have been part of this event and that we could deliver a unique service to all participants, spectators and other stake holders at the event. Not only did we provide the standard timing & results services, but for the first time at an OCEANMAN, we delived split times in the water! This allowed the organizers to better understand and control where the participants were, the commentators (the star-duo of: Gordon Graham & Warrick Mac Nicol) to provide live updates in the village, and family & friends of participants to know accurately when their loved ones will come out of the water and cross the finish line. Big congratulations to Fermin Egido Alonso & Bohdana Melnychuk on this success and looking forward to seeing your brand grow even further!

Find your true north in open water by OCEANMAN Coach Cristian Ciccioli "Transitioning from pool swimming to open water can be a disorientating experience. Our level of confidence drops the moment we hit that endless body of water, and everything we knew and practised before becomes questionable. We were used to following a black line and swimming between lane ropes, and we were 100% sure that the distance was accurate. Unfortunately that’s not applicable in open water, not only because of the lack of guardrails, but also because current, waves and other factors change our trajectory in real time. I like to think that the race winner is not necessarily the fastest swimmer but the one who swims the shortest distance. And here is where orientation and sighting comes into play." Gain insights and strategies from one of our top experts to help you excel in open water, find direction, and navigate your swim journey with confidence.
