🌏 Bilbao and Osaka have never felt closer! Distance is just a number when it comes to advancing floating offshore wind energy collaboration.   This week, we had the privilege of hosting our partners from The Kansai Electric Power co., inc. for an intensive workshop where we shared updates and early results from the pioneering floating wind DemoSATH project.     We also visited key players involved in this initiative, including Basque companies and global leaders Haizea Wind Group and Vicinay Marine, and learned from the contributions of other participants in the project such as Global Maritime, Marsh, and Bureau Veritas Group.    Collaboration goes beyond exchanging knowledge - it is about experiencing and celebrating the best each partner has to offer. From showcasing our stunning coastline and vibrant culture to sharing the world-famous Basque cuisine, we ensured this exchange was enriching on every level.  This kind of partnership not only helps us grow together but also strengthens our ability to address the challenges of this emerging industry. We are excited to welcome Joseph Deng to Saitec Offshore as our new Asia Lead, based in Shenzhen, China. Joseph brings nearly two decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, with expertise in both onshore and offshore wind projects. His deep understanding of the offshore wind industry includes leading WORLD FORUM OFFSHORE WIND (WFO)’s presence in China, promoting offshore wind through global events and policy reports, and advising major Chinese companies on strategic initiatives. Joseph will play a key role in building bridges between Europe and Asia, leveraging his expertise in shaping business opportunities and driving strategic initiatives for growth. He will work closely with our management team, managing relationships with partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies across Asia, while also representing Saitec Offshore at key industry conferences and associations. We are confident that Joseph’s experience and vision will help strengthen our presence in the region and drive new opportunities.
