Exciting news for Dcycle! They have closed a €6M round to to keep simplifying and making the environmental management of companies more efficient. 👏 The round is led by Samaipata, with participation from Ship2B Ventures through our BSocial Impact Fund - supported by Banco Sabadell, Axis and the European Investment Fund (EIF) -. Other investors also took part in the round: Sabadell Venture Capital, Draper B1, Decelera y Angels Capital. Dcycle has been a valued member of our Impact Makers community since its Pre-Seed stage, and we feel truly proud to witness their growth and progress on their #impact journey. Their software simplifies the classification, management, and utilisation of companies' #ESG data, providing a centralised platform to monitor, improve, and report on their impacts. This round will fuel Dcycle's growth plans, expanding into Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, accelerating technological development, and continuing strengthening its team, which already has 50 employees. As part of the initiative VC Knowledge Hub of The Global Impact Investing Network, we co-organized the Webinar: "Navigating Startup Investments: SFDR Compliance and Integrating PAIS through Real World Insights" We had the pleasure of having a insightful group of panelist: Servane Metzger-Corrigou  (Ring Capital) Elena Harumi Stark (AENU) Marleen Blanson Henkemans (Pymwymic)  Sean Gilbert (The Global Impact Investing Network)    We explored the challenges of working with principal adverse impacts (PAIs) disclosures in #startup investments and how VCs face the #SFDR Compliance: 🔹 Ring Capital have decided that the funds which invest in early stage startups are not going to be classified as article 9, but as article 8. The PAI's and ESG analysis are more material in later stages. 🔹 AENU gets deeply involved with the entrepreneurs to define the most material PIAS for each company. They pay special attention to DEI actions and carbon accounting preparing the entrepreneurs to get ready for later stages. 🔹 As an article 9 fund, Pymwymic collects the PIA's and they focus on the elements that are relevant for the companies, proportionate to the size and the business. As pioneers in Spain, Ship2B Ventures was one of the first #ImpactInvesting VC that started measuring the PAIs across the invested companies. It was a challenge but also a learning process! It was a privilege to hear how other VC's are facing the different challenges the SFDR generates, giving ideas and strategies for others. Thank you for sharing!!!
