🌍 Last week, I had the honor of joining ENGA GmbH ’s team at Formnext - Where ideas take shape in Frankfurt, the global hub for Additive Manufacturing and industrial 3D printing. This event showcased groundbreaking innovations that are shaping the future of production, from cutting-edge materials to advanced 3D printing technologies. Formnext isn’t just a trade show—it’s a platform for inspiration, networking, and collaboration. From bioplastics to recycled granules, I was fascinated by the possibilities offered by these sustainable solutions and how they align with ENGA’s vision of circular design. 🎯 A few highlights: • Meeting ENGA’s partners; WASP , pioneers in creating sustainable 3D printing solutions. Their work on “zero-mile” construction, using materials sourced locally, exemplifies the potential of eco-friendly design. Their technology supports projects in bioplastics, clay, and even aluminum—pushing the limits of renewable resources and self-sufficient living. • Exploring the Ginger G1 printer, ENGA’s next big investment. With its granule extrusion technology, 1m³ print volume, and compatibility with industrial pellet formats, it offers an energy-efficient solution for medium-complexity projects. • Discovering Smart Materials 3D, a leader in custom materials with advanced mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties—ideal for enhancing our future innovations. This experience has left me inspired and motivated to integrate these state-of-the-art technologies into ENGA’s projects. Our final day at Formnext - Where ideas take shape 2024 has arrived, and we couldn't be prouder of everything we've achieved during this incredible event. In this photo, many faces are missing—people who weren't physically present at the fair but whose efforts made this project possible. We want to give a special mention to Susana Jamilena Ibáñez, who led this project with dedication and expertise for many months prior to the event. Also, our thanks go to Rubén Vallés López from the marketing team and Sergio Torres Garrido from R&D for their invaluable collaboration in fine-tuning and completing all the details. A heartfelt thank you as well to the entire #SmartTeam for their support, hard work, and commitment throughout this journey.
