New EU regulations could make some ripples in the world of superyacht art handling by 2025. In our industry, where superyachts cross borders, the transporting of art is about to get a lot trickier. New EU regulations aimed at curbing the trafficking of cultural goods, including antiquities and fine art, are set to change how crews handle these precious items. This past holiday week, my friends and I from camp had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Global Clean Up Initiative spearheaded by Burgess and BOAT International Media. It's inspiring to be part of a movement that not only addresses but actively combats ocean pollution. We headed to the local beach at the camp, and despite the minimal trash, our group—comprising families, friends and others camping, embraced the challenge with open arms. The kids especially enjoyed the beach clean up and we spoke together about the oceans, and what trash does to the sea life and eco systems. These babies knew so much already! I was so surprised. We scoured the area diligently and collectively managed to fill a bag with waste found scattered around, contributing to the global effort on behalf of the Our Faceless Crew community. It was a rewarding experience to show the children how even small actions can lead to substantial environmental impacts. Initiatives like this demonstrate the power of community and the significant strides we can make towards a cleaner ocean.
