The role offers an exciting opportunity to work at a prospering Private Equity firm with highly motivated and knowledgeable colleagues. We expect you to be studying in a relevant university program (e.g. finance, accounting, economics, law, engineering) with a strong academic record. Preferably, you have some relevant work experience from previous summer jobs and internships in addition to skills in financial modelling, valuation, and accounting principles. The role offers you a hands-on experience from the private equity industry while getting to spend time in Mariehamn and the Åland archipelago. The internship period is during summer 2025. It is a great opportunity to kick-start or advance your career within investments and private equity. Join OpenOcean as a Finance Intern in Helsinki! We’re looking for a Finance Intern to join our Finance and Fund Management team for a 6-month fixed-term position at our office in Mikonkatu, Helsinki. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience with a leading venture capital firm and explore the VC ecosystem up close. Your main responsibilities: - Take gradual responsibility in managing day-to-day finance operations (e.g. expense management). - Support quarterly investor reporting, compliance and ad-hoc reporting. - Keep portfolio company records up to date, including financial performance, transaction documentation and cap tables. - Handle KYC procedures and investor documentation. We’d expect you to have an academic background in finance and/or accounting, with a strong foundation to support your work in this role. Summer Internship in Alternative Investments at Keva Are you interested in developing your skills in private equity and other alternative asset classes? Keva is looking for a summer intern for the period from 1 May to 31 August 2025, to join Keva's Alternative Investments team. About the Role This is a full-time summer position for 3–4 months, with a flexible start date in May or June. There is also an option to start part-time in April before the summer internship begins, depending on your availability. Additionally, part-time work alongside studies may be possible after the internship if deemed necessary. Most tasks will be performed on-site at Keva's office. Key Responsibilities As part of the Alternative Investments team, you will work closely with portfolio managers, particularly in private equity, while also gaining exposure to other asset classes. Your daily tasks will include: - Collecting, comparing, and interpreting data. - Contributing to the development of tools for a large institutional investor. - Analyzing investment opportunities in both funds and direct investments. - Conducting company valuations and analyses. - Monitoring target markets and industry research. - Meeting with external asset managers and experts. We are happy to announce that the Level 20 Mentoring Programme has officially begun! We’re thrilled to kick off this mentorship program with 14 mentor-mentee pairs, six in VC and eight in PE, featuring students from diverse fields such as law, engineering, and business, representing Aalto, Hanken, the University of Helsinki, and Vaasa. We had a fantastic evening at Dottir Attorneys’ beautiful office for the launch of the Mentorship Program! After warm welcomes from Johanna Rantanen - CEO of Dottir Attorneys, Level 20 Finland, Aalto Private Equity Club and wednesday., we heard from Ekaterina Gianelli, who shared her inspiring career journey in venture capital, discussing the challenges and rewards of building a successful career in a competitive field. Keynotes from Elise Haaksluoto and Maiju Aspegren explored career paths in private equity, offering insights and motivation to the next generation of investment professionals. To wrap up, Maiju shared a key piece of career advice: Don’t worry if you don’t have everything figured out; focus on learning, connecting, and shaping your path along the way.
