🌍 Exciting Updates from the EEA Annual General Meeting 2024! 🌍 Last Friday 3rd of October, I had the pleasure of participating in the European EdTech Alliance’s (EEA) General Annual Meeting in Amsterdam in representation of EdTech Finland as a board member. The meeting went really well, and we had the chance to vote on the renewal of the EEA Board members. We’re thrilled to welcome Albena Spasova from EdTech Bulgaria, Thomas Van Cauwenberghe from EdTech Belgium, and Alicia Berlanga from Edutech Cluster Spain—all highly experienced professionals who will bring great value to the board of EEA. As part of the day, we also joined the Dutch EdTech Summit, where they presented an insightful study on the EdTech ecosystem in the Netherlands. During the discussions, it became clear that the challenges around upskilling and reskilling are enormous. Equipping people with a new mindset (behaviors), skillset (procedures), and toolset (knowledge) will require a personalization of learning that can only be achieved through the best use of technology. This is essential to break away from outdated “one-size-fits-all” educational models and closed learning pathways, replacing them with new forms of lifelong learning. It was a fantastic day full of collaboration, learning, and inspiration.
