🌟 EOS at the Visual Festival Student Event 🌟 Last Friday in Joensuu, Finland, students from the optics and photonics community came together at the Photonics Center to connect, network, and showcase their passion for this exciting field. The event featured: 🔹Engaging presentations 🔹Networking opportunities with local photonics experts, including representatives from local companies, the University of Eastern Finland, Photonics Finland, EOS, and the local student clubs As an added bonus, participants had free entry to the Visual Festival, where they enjoyed a stunning light art display organized by the world-renowned Kari Kola, adding a touch of creativity and inspiration to the day. EOS was proud to be part of the event to show our strong support for students. We are happy to see students take the lead in building vibrant communities and seizing opportunities to grow academically and professionally. 📢 Call for Nominations: ICO/ICTP Gallieno Denardo Award  The International Commission for Optics, ICO and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, ICTP have agreed to establish a joint prize reserved for researchers from developing countries, either less than 40 years old or within twelve (12) years of the completion of their first PhD, by 1 Dec 2025, excluding career breaks.
