Our new production line at the Vimpeli plant in Finland is one of the most advanced in the world, doubling the production capacity for snap-lock roofing🏭💪 "We are now ready to serve our customers even better. The new, more automated production line will increase the plant's efficiency, which will be reflected in delivery speed and reliability all the way to the customer," says Jorma Korhonen, Business Director, Roofing Finland at Ruukki Construction. We have also transitioned to fossil-free electricity and recycled packaging materials in our production, enabling us to provide even more sustainable products for our customers. Exciting news! We will deliver Ruukki® Life LowCarbon sandwich panels made with SSAB’s Fossil-free steel to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Sweden. The fossil-free steel pilot products are part of the delivery of wall and roof structures as the company expands its infrastructure in Sweden. The delivery is part of a collaboration agreement between SSAB and Amazon Web Services (AWS). "This is an exciting project that shows how well our solutions fit into the data center segment. It is also a great example of how we, together with our customers, can make construction more sustainable. Based on this vision, we designed an impressive yet cost-effective solution that utilizes two different types of cassettes: standard Primo® Skyline 150 cassettes and custom-designed three-dimensional cassettes, some of which are perforated. ”Good cooperation in the design phase and the solution we developed enabled minimal material waste and fast manufacturing and installation, which benefited the environment. The end result is spectacular.
