    💥🏃♀️ With another fantastic edition of the adidas Breaking Barriers Innovation Lab coming to a close, even more leaders in the sports industry are joining in on the journey to make sport equal! 🌟 The adidas Breaking Barriers Innovation Lab is a startup incubator program for women-led and women-focused startups focused on addressing the barriers women and girls face in sports. Over the past six months, we have worked closely with adidas and PlugandPlay to deliver tailored workshops and provide mentorship and access to a community of investors, partners, and other startups. 👥 We had an incredible cohort of six startups on this journey: Fitr, HerSport, FantasyWSL, Prescision Sports Technology, Keleya, and GRLS. After six months of project development, we heard directly from these startups about the barriers they’re working to address for women and girls in sports, including:  ⚽ Better fan engagement and education ⚽ Injury prevention ⚽ Menstrual cycle tracking for athletes and coaches ⚽ Improved maternity care  ⚽ Fairer hiring processes 🗣️ Additionally, we were joined by special guests Amina Ndao and Dunja Stokan who shared their unique experiences as women working in sports media and coaching. 🏋️♀️✨ This certainly won’t be the last time we hear from these pioneering companies and the Innovation Lab community.     We've been working with adidas for over a year now on their Breaking Barriers Project and it's gathering momentum which is great to see. Today it's International Day of The Girl and there will be loads of reports being published of all the things we need to be doing to support girls....and this project is doing just that. It works with teenage girls most at risk of giving up sport and teaches them about their bodies - these sessions, are amazing, Jazmin Sawyers is amazing and adidas are amazing to be so committed to a project and understand what it takes to have an impact in communities where girls and women's bodies are rarely talked about within the context of sport.
