What does #artificial #intelligence do with young adolescents? More specifically, with students? Does it influence their attitude and #behaviour towards #education? Our project partner Dowel innovation has been getting to the bottom of all these questions since this week. A kick-off event with #students between the ages of 12 and 14 in #ValbonneSophiaAntipolis in the south of #France marked the beginning of a journey through the endless possibilities of artificial intelligence. The idea is to use #language and develop our #poetryslam. Curiosity and openness on all sides characterised the first #exchange. ‘I'm very excited to see what develops from this,’ says Julie Saccomano. The joint work will continue in the coming year. And that's a wrap! It was such a pleasure to spend the last three days with G!E members and partners during both InteractionSeeds and Greenovate! Europe general assemblies. While we've had fruitful discussions to plan the year to come and ensure we've maximise our impact as the InteractionSeeds project, we've also had the privilege of participating in a creative workshop organised by our partners at MATERALIA. We had the opportunity to engage with R&I stakeholders from across Europe, exploring how art-inspired approaches can drive innovation and transform industrial technologies, especially in the areas of decarbonisation and the circular economy. A special thanks to Vera IVANAJ for her artistic contributions and to Jean-François CAMUS and @Karim Mnisri for their insightful testimonials. This experience reinforces the importance of viewing art, culture, and creativity as holistic processes that help us address complexity in new and meaningful ways. And finally a warm thanks to the Greenovate! Europe team for orchestrating the discussion on G!E's next priorities and social activties. Nous avons le plaisir de vous partager les premiers résultats du projet PRIME*, une initiative de restauration écologique des herbiers de posidonie en Méditerranée. Pendant 6 semaines de mission, en septembre et octobre, nos plongeurs scientifiques ont collecté 16250 fragments de posidonie dits en épave (arrachés par les ancres des bateaux ou les tempêtes). Ces fragments ont ensuite été replantés entre les îles de Lérins, à Cannes, dans l’Écomusée sous-marin. Ce site a été sélectionné pour son absence de pression de mouillage, assurant ainsi la pérennité de nos actions. L’objectif de restaurer 1000 m² d’herbier en 2024 a été atteint ! Nos plongeurs ont passé un total de 275 heures sous l’eau, parfois dans des conditions exigeantes. Un grand merci à tous ceux qui ont contribué à ce succès : plongeurs, bénévoles et partenaires. Votre engagement et votre expertise sont la clé de cette réussite collective. Nebula B4P and #CINEA brought together all 30 projects funded so far under the #Built4People partnership to exchange lessons learnt and good practices, and brainstorm about future synergies and cooperation. Let's keep up the good work and continue working together to better support and accelerate innovation for a sustainable, resilient and inclusive Built Environment!
This week, representatives of the 30 projects funded as part of a #Built4People Co-programmed Public-Private Partnership gathered at CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency in Belgium, for a special clustering event organised by #NebulaB4P. The funding for these projects sits under the “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use” part of the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for Climate, Energy and Mobility. At the event, welcome and introductions were given by Matthias Langemeyer, CINEA, and Mathieu Daloze, @DG DG ENER, followed by an overview of Built4People Partnership and Innovation Clusters (B4PICs) led by ECTP - European Construction and sustainable built environment Technology Platform and World Green Building Council. Attendees then took part in breakout sessions on the following topics: 🔷 Digital solutions for building operations 🔷 Inclusive and resilient environments 🔷 Renovation for low-emission buildings Following the breakout sessions, an open forum discussion was held, alongside a round table session focusing on key takeaways from the breakout sessions, led by Eleftherios Bourdakis, Ines Diaz Regodon and Pau Rey Garcia, CINEA. Our colleague Clémentine coujard prepared a #BLOG article about how the New European Bauhaus Values and Working principles are perceived and implemented in ongoing #EU-funded #R&D projects. This article comes as a result of the 1st workshop organized by the Nebula B4P project dedicated to the New European Bauhaus at the Sustainable Places Conference this year. The objectives of the session were to raise awareness about the #NEB amongst a mixed audience of experts from the built environment, question how they address the NEB value in their respective R&D projects, and identify the remaining challenges towards the further implementation of the new Bauhaus.
