The Sound of Biodiversity 🎵 Did you know that the health of an ecosystem has a unique sound signature? 👂 We're thrilled to be conducting bioacoustics research in the stunning #Alpilles region of France! 🇫🇷 Our team is capturing the #soundscapes of diverse habitats – from pristine forests to degraded lands – to understand how human impact affects #biodiversity. By analyzing these recordings, we can identify the presence of various taxa (groups of species), even those we can't see. This data helps us assess the ecological integrity of different areas, produce consistent scores and possibly inform conservation efforts.
