📢 Meet the FLAGCHIP consortium partners! 📢 Today we introduce you to our partner – SuperGrid Institute, an independent innovation and research company with expertise in high and medium voltage direct current (HVDC and MVDC) systems and technologies – key components for the future system of power transmission. They provide their customers and partners with strong technological innovations to accelerate the development of future power grids and the massive integration of renewable energy. SuperGrid has developed AC power cycling test-bench to gain a better comprehension of degradation mechanisms. The results of FLAGCHIP will also improve the Condition Health Monitoring (CHM) solutions. SuperGrid is also currently developing a bidirectional DC/DC converter under the Horizon project FOR2ENSICS on which a pilot will be based. This pilot will be used by FLAGCHIP in order to demonstrate the practical aspect of FLAGCHIP’s prototypes. It will represent conditions for MVDC converters and their system. In fact, the pilot will test real-time condition monitoring and validate the new modules developed within the project by estimating the temperature based on TSEP and using non-conventional health monitoring methods and Limp mode strategies.
