We’re a broad energy company that thinks gas, the lowest-emitting fossil fuel, has a key role in the energy transition.

À propos

Our world’s energy mix needs to change. Are you ready to move towards cleaner sources and phase out coal? TotalEnergies is ready to support you. Along with renewables, we believe that gas is part of this energy transition as it produces half the greenhouse gas emissions of coal for power generation and can reduce transportation-related emissions. It’s a pragmatic, available response to fight climate change. As the 2nd-largest LNG player worldwide, our expertise makes us your ideal partner to power your grids and industries, mobilize transport, or heat your clients’ homes with cleaner energy. We’re also looking for ways to decarbonize our energy mix by expanding our presence across the biogas and hydrogen value chains. • 🚢 TotalEnergies to supply GSPC with LNG (Now that’s a phrase that rhymes 👏) TotalEnergies and the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC), a state-owned oil and gas company, have signed a long-term Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for a term of ten years starting in 2026. ➡️ Under this agreement, TotalEnergies will deliver 400,000 tons of LNG (six cargoes per year) to GSPC. 🇮🇳 The #LNG will be sourced from TotalEnergies' global portfolio and unloaded in LNG terminals located on India’s west coast. It will mainly supply GSPC’s industrial customers, as well as provide gas for household cooking and GSPC's Compressed Natural Gas (#CNG) service stations for gas-powered vehicles. 💡 In India, natural gas will play a pivotal role in the #EnergyTransition. As a cleaner alternative for industrial activities, cooking and transportation. 🗞️ Learn more in our press release: https://lnkd.in/ePym94kK

  • 🔄 Biogas production is a sustainable solution turning organic waste into valuable energy. Here's how it works: ➡️ Collection of organic matter: Livestock manure and agricultural residues, waste from the agri-food industry, biowaste generated in urban areas. 🐄 Anaerobic Digestion process: By fermentation of organic matter at around 42 degrees for around 40 days in the absence of oxygen to produce biogas. ♻️ From biogas to biomethane: Once purified, the biogas becomes biomethane, which offers identical characteristics to natural gas. 💡 Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e-PZ82hC

  • 🌊 Expanding Our #LNG Fleet to Drive the Energy Transition in Marine Shipping In October 2024, TotalEnergies that we signed a charter contract with shipowner Ibaizabal Group to add a fourth LNG #bunker vessel, with an impressive 18,600 m³ capacity, to our growing fleet. 🤝 This addition reinforces our commitment to Marine LNG, a cleaner #fuel that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from shipping by up to 20% compared to conventional fuels. ⚓ 📈 Meeting Growing Demand As international demand for LNG-powered ships surges, our fleet—which includes the Gas Agility in Rotterdam, Gas Vitality in Marseille-Fos, and Brassavola in Singapore — continues to uphold the highest technical standards. This new vessel, set to join the fleet in 2026, will extend our LNG bunkering reach and could potentially serve in Oman, where we are developing a low-carbon-intensity LNG plant with a capacity of 1 million tons per year. 🌐 Paving the Way to Net-Zero #Shipping With the IMO’s ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, Marine LNG offers a promising pathway. 👉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/evhZWSuN

  • 💭 What is Marsa LNG? Earlier this year, TotalEnergies and OQ (Oman National Oil Company) took a decisive step forward by announcing the final investment decision for the Marsa LNG project in Oman. 🇴🇲 ➡️ This cutting-edge liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant is set to produce 1 million tons of LNG per year, primarily for the shipping industry. Here’s what makes Marsa LNG stand out: 💡 Low-carbon innovation: Powered by a 300 MWp solar plant, Marsa LNG replaces gas combustion with electric motors for liquefaction, making it the lowest-carbon-intensity LNG plant in the world—less than 3 kg CO2e/boe! ⚓ Supporting shipping: As the first marine LNG #bunkering hub in the Middle East, Marsa LNG will fuel ships with LNG, which has the potential to reduce emissions. 🔗 Ready to learn more about the future of Marsa #LNG?
