Ghana Science & Tech Explorer Prize reposted this
Last week, Partnership Bureau convened a virtual roundtable for NGOs working on STEM education in Ghana as part of the Ghana Science & Tech Explorer Prize. Constance Agyeman and Francis Ahene-Affoh led an engaging session on the theme of 'Fostering a STEM Education Alliance: Harnessing Collective Impact for Ghana’s Future'. We had organisations from all across the STEM ecosystem attend - DreamOval Foundation, Practical Education Network, Shulem Lake, IMPLEMENTERS, Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA), Achievers Ghana, Power to Girls Foundation, STEMbees, Social Enterprise Ghana, Experimento Ghana Starters Technology LTD, GirledUp Ghana and more. We had three key takeaways: 🤝🏾 Different organisations got to know and understand others working across STEM education from focusing on women and girls to robotics training to basic digital literacy and more. 💥 We need to commit to achieve collective impact in STEM education, whis aligned by a common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication and a strong backbone. 🏛️ We are all working with public sector in different ways, so we should leverage each others' connections to support further growth and scale. Stay tuned to find out how we grow this STEM education alliance together!
