Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is arriving in June—but so far, all fans of Harrison Ford’s rakish-at-any-age hero have gotten is one measly trailer. That changed today when the fifth entry in the beloved franchise got a fresh look at the film as part of Lucasfilm’s big panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe.
The film starts with Professor Jones (Harrison Ford) in his apartment just before he announces his retirement. Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) brings up the dial of destiny—a rumor her father had told her. Shaw makes the decision to go after the dial, and the villains—played by Mads Mikkelsen and Boyd Holbrook, naturally, follow after. We get some pulse-pounding footage of Jones on a horse in the subway, and it looks like there might be some kind of time travel involved?
But there is a classic dungeon involved, and it looks like James Mangold (who’s stepping in for Steven Spielberg on directorial duties) has been taking notes for years on what makes a good Indiana Jones film. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny also features the music of John Williams.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny debuts at the Cannes Film Festival in May before hitting theaters on June 30.
