You can now pre-order Samsung’s Gear VR headset—the device that looks like it may finally push VR into the mainstream—from Best Buy for $100.
If you’re clamouring for some VR, you can head over to Best Buy now and pre-order one of the devices right away. The retailer gives an official release date for the hardware of November 20th—just in time for Thanksgiving. The device will come with a 16GB microSD card which will contain a series of “3D movie trailers and 360° videos.”
Before you get carried away, though, it’s worth noting that the smartphone-powered headset requires a mobile phone, and only works with Samsung’s latest handsets—the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, S6 and S6 Edge. But if you do have a phone that works with it, you’ll be able to stream content from Netflix, Hulu, and Twitch mere inches from your face.
